Com'on 'maryelle' it's not a perfect world you can't expect everybody to be excited about this.

I'm surprised that you seem surprised by such a post, but then again by me saying that I'm surprised makes it kinda of paradoxical on my part doesn't it?

Either way - posts like that don't even deserve a response - even a good one like yours.

I still can't quit laughing over the people who keep insisting that you are supposed to want to do this because you WANT to save someones life. Please! Some people care, but most only care about seeing TR.

So....

Has everyone who made donations for passes received conformation on their order, or have there been a few issues with that?

05/25/09 9:20 AM

Hello! First of all I want to say that what you guys are doing is amazing! I will gladly donate.
And second, does this apply to the european dates? I already read that "These offers apply to the HEADLINING (read: NON-FESTIVAL) shows in the rest of the world" but still not sure. I'm planning to go to the show in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Thanks and Cheers!

No soundcheck for Mansfield, MA?!?

You just broke my heart Trent :-( I had just convinced myself that just because I'm about to lose my job and move to a new state and had a pile of bills didn't mean that this was out of my reach...but now.....

Are there still meet and greets without soundchecks? anyone?

(edit, the answer is apparently yes and I got that from reading, I'm a smart boy *duh*)

Yea that's a bit disappointing about the sound check but I'm keeping in mind what this is really about. I guess if the doors open at 6 then I'm getting there around 4 so I can find out a few other things. I guess the question is would they pull the VIP folks back to the M&G before the doors open? I'm hoping so. Going in at 6 would eat up a lot of M&G time. So how's the weather up there? Any chance of rain?

Yeah, theres a fairly small chance for it, but even if there is rain it should be cleared out by the time of the show... may want to bring something to dry your seat just incase.

Id say the answer is yes, we will probably be going in before the doors open-- no idea what time.

Wow. The main reason I wanted to do the $300 donation was to watch the soundcheck...looks like I'm not doing that anymore. Sucks for those of you who got it already and were hoping for the same thing.

I'll still donate $10 though. smiling smiley

I really wasn't expecting a soundcheck for KC since there's no pit.

I sure hope so! I don't how they're going to pull this off without other people coming to it.
Every post that I make I have to include this:
Trent, thank you so much for your thoughtfulness and generosity!
See ya at the 'Roo!
He probably meant to type 1am instead of 11am--in reference to the band's show time . The details about Bonnaroo VIP are probably still on the works. I can't imagine organizing a meet and greet when you don't even have a "backstage" area.

300 at last! Düsseldorf! eye popping smiley Unless I fucked up the order process and... and... Anyway, this is cool. Maybe I was starting to feel a bit irresponsible about the number of nin shows I had booked, so I was just thinking about burning some money on charity to sort of... make up for the nin-splurgin, a bit. Now I get both. :p

Folks, I'd like some details:
"You will recieve an email 24 hrs prior to the show date with details for that day."
As in EXACTLY 24 h? I'll be away from home by then. Will I need to print something for this or do I just need my ID and credit card? Do normal internet cafés have printers? :B *is clueless* Thanks in advance! smiling smiley

It applies to all the shows on the NIN/JA tour, so yes.

Ya, what he said. ..and I know cause I'm going to that one, donated and got my confirmation e-mail. How was I able to figure this all out? I read the godamn instructions on the donation page.

no need to be snarky some of us have jobs and DO NOT have time to read every little fucking entry forgive me for asking!!!

hey sorry..I have a job too and I guess while I was in University getting my degree to do my job I learned how to read and research in order to find information out...I'm sorry I mistook you knew how to do the same.

Calderon08, don't be an asshole. It was an honest question. Yeah, research could have been done, but sometimes when you're really excited about something, you forget to think about doing research.

To be honest, post by people who don't do their research just clogs up the thread and is frustrating for those of us trying to be helpful and answer questions. Mostly, it's by people who have just joined and don't take the time to get the lay of the land.

The info is in the very first post of the thread AND I had re-posted Trent's post on the very same page of the idiotic questions. So yeah, we get frustrated and we become assholes because stupidity is one of our biggest pet peeve. Sometimes you have to make examples out of others for other people to learn.

Maybe we should just stop helping people...that would work. I have gotten completely frustrated and I now shy away from the forum. I am not going to any VIP events(as I have already gone to my show, had guest passes and met Trent/band/etc)...but I have a lot of time to help those who are. Oh well.

the VIP ticket package sounds great for $1000 and for a worthy cause, the only problem i have is im going with 2 other ppl.. If i donated a bit more (like $1200-$1400)would there be any possibility of having 3 VIP tickets instead if 2?

Edit: this would be for the London UK show

There's plenty of backstage area for Bonnaroo. It's all fenced in, and there is a ton of stuff that goes on behind the main stage. I won a meet and greet with Metallica last June for Bonnaroo, to which they had emptied utility tent for us all to stand against the walls while the band members came in, not to mention a ton of space reserved for a catered BBQ for us.

From what I have read, I understand that even if there is no soundcheck, you will still have an opportunity to meet the band. I plan on going to the KC show, but does anyone know what time would I need to arrive for the meet and greet?

I am getting there super early. I'm paranoid, though. Haha. If doors are at 6pm, I will probably get there at 2pm. I'll bring some food to eat (McDonalds or something), and just wait around. Anyone wanna join me?

You know what? We should start posting our phone numbers somewhere (maybe another thread in General Discussion?) so that if anyone gets lost or doesn't know where to meet at the venue, someone can hopefully help. Just keep a written list on you. I'd be willing to help out.

Edit: Forgot what thread I was in...posting this in the KC thread.

So.. No soundcheck in KC., Doors at 6.. I'm wondering how many others donated at the $1000 level for KC? I'd guess we'll have a separate line or front of line access like the pre-sale ticketholders have..

Send me a PM if you are also in this group for KC.. we could work out a common time and place to meet up at the Starlight plenty before door time to be sure we know where to go.. Also if we are all in the same place same time it will be less hassle for venue/NIN staff to get us all where we need to be, and the experience will less waiting around in lines and more enjoyment..

I'm looking forward to the VIP ride, even if it ends up being somewhat short.. Helping Eric is still the main point of all this after all..

05/25/09 2:11 PM

I'm a $300 KC person. I will be there at 2pm-ish. Eating McDonald's. :-) We should all exchange phone numbers.

What time is the meet-up at that bar/grill before the how? Maybe I can make that.

I am one of the $1000 donators. I'm still looking forward to everything... just hoping for some details soon.

Looks like we have most of the details we're gonna get for now.. I'd say getting to the Starlight near 2:30-3pm would work well.. even if nothing happens that early it would be best to at least know where to be at the right time when we do find out..

I've never been the type that likes to show up for shows insanely early.. too much pointless waiting in line tends to happen.. but in this case I'm willing to be early and patient..

Apparantly your education did not cover grammer, proof reading maybe something you would like to add to your repertoire. And the point of these message boards is to get get quick answers sometimes, you know...when you don't have time to look through 16 pages of chat!!! Get over yourself and stop being so rude. And as I don't spend alot of time on these things I'm out!

IT'S HIS FIRST CONCERT EVER AND I'M WORRIED I MAY EITHER NOT BE ABLE TO MEET YOU OR HE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO GET HIS TICKET? IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO TO SOLVE THIS?? BY THE WAY.... THIS IS REALLY COOL OF YOU TO BE DOING THIS MEET AND GREET. I'VE BEEN A HARDCORE FAN SINCE PRETTY HATE MACHINE WHEN IT CAME ON A BLACK TAPE! I'VE BEEN WANTING TO MEET YOU SINCE THEN.... REALLY COOL OF YOU TO DO THIS. PLUS IT'S FOR A GREAT CAUSE!!!!
