With all the action going on, this one slipped by me. We omitted some of the offering that's currently available.
Here's the correct info:

We're now offering a limited package of 100 collectable / signed complete skateboards generously donated from my friend Tony Hawk. For a donation of $1,000 you will receive one of these and a signed-by-me copy of NIN's rarest CD release, STILL - along with CDs of The Slip and the deluxe version of Ghosts I-IV (all signed and numbered by me for this donation).
Meaning - handwritten by me: "X of 100 for EDLC. Thank you, Trent Reznor" on all three NIN CDs.

There are still some of these left, and if you ordered before this announcement you will get the whole thing.

THANK YOU!
TR

If only!

Man, if I had the money, I would so go for it, that's an amazing offer, and it's for a good cause. You can't beat it. I think I need to start betting on the horses at the racetrack, or playing the Illinois lottery or something.

You're doing an amazing thing, Trent.

05/31/09 3:19 PM

Man I wish celebrities cared about me enough to bust their asses this much to raise money for me. Still, that's a very generous thing for Trent Reznor to do.

05/31/09 3:20 PM

Let me just say how AWESOME it is that you're doing this. Seeing such kindness brightens the world.

05/31/09 3:21 PM

Trent you and Mr Hawk really are doing wonderful things...

thank you for all that you have given....

Sweet deal! And only 100 packages available.

Been keeping up with @veronicaDLCruz's twitter and blog. Several scary moments over the weekend, with doctors telling the family that Eric should have gotten a transplant 2 years ago. He just went thru a VAD surgery, replacing both left and right ventricles of his heart. He couldn't wait til a heart was available. He is still awaiting a transplant.

I am finding the entire US healthcare system to be a load of fucking crap, and thankful that I am living north of the border, where there's still long waits and it's hard to find a good family doctor, but I won't be denied life-saving treatment because I'm ineligible or I cannot afford it.

Donating as soon as I can, as much as I can.

I love how he's so modest about it on Twitter. Awesomeness. Wish I had the extra $1000 lying around.

05/31/09 3:30 PM

I would buy all of them if i had the money...
I guess i'll have to sell myself... and i don't even think i can reach the price...

Well that does make the package a bit sweeter-heck I'd pay $1,000 (if I had it) just for all the signed CDs-IF I had that much money, which I sadly don't. I also have no idea where the heck I'd put the skateboard.

I also must repeat what I said over Twitter except here I can say it without character limitations:

And all this time I thought "rare" was only used to describe copies of Still being sold on Amazon.com to all the stupid people who are unaware it's available in the NIN.com Store for only $10.

Technically, there are numerous CD singles out there that are RARER than Still, simply on the fact that you cannot buy a new copy of it anywhere anymore.

Now if you were to be talking in terms of Still being more of an EP-I'd agree that it's the rarest EP CD release by NIN. Maybe that would just be too long to say-even if it's ultimately more honest.

And of course in this case it being signed by Trent and limited to 100 copies of course makes it rarer.

I'd still appreciate the option to just get the signed CDs by themselves for a lower price, though...

Anyway, it's cool of you to throw in the extra CDs to even the deal out a bit more so it's like 50% NIN 50% Tony.

I'm still planning on donating at least $10 whenever I have some money to spare.

This whole thing is so cool from top to bottom.

Help people, get merch, listen to people bitch, and a new model of fundraising. Crowd sourced charity. Neat.

"Let's focus the community spiritually to aim positive energy and prayer to #Eric" Twitter @trent_renor

"And I'm sure @VeronicaDLCruz and her mom could use some positive reinforcement (and hugs) as well" Twitter @trent_renor

I'm so impressed that positive energy is being sent as well as money. It can make an amazing difference to your health, both emotional and physical.

i wish i had the money to help out!! sad smiley
that's a sweet offer..im trying to think of a quick way to make $1000..
you're a great person trent!!

05/31/09 6:46 PM

i will buy one if they dont sell out to fast and with the way this thread is looking i will be able.....

05/31/09 6:47 PM

Thank you for the additions, Trent. My fiancée and I will be meeting you on Tuesday in Toronto. When the donation packages were announced the other week, we decided that the donation to Eric would be our wedding gift to each other. We would rather donate to save a man's life rather than buy a general gift for each other that would eventually become outdated and end up in our attic. Saving a life is much more valuable.

We wish the best for Eric and we're looking forward to a great show as always.

Mike & Salina

Not to blow my own horn, but just as an idea for others like myself that can't afford to donate money. There are several Officials that can be sent Emails concerning Eric. It only took about five minutes to send one to everyone on the list.

05/31/09 7:17 PM

Trent, you're a pretty guy to do this. It's nice to see that people out there still care. You're awesome man, keep up the great work!

05/31/09 7:24 PM

Sorry, meant to say pretty cool guy

05/31/09 8:27 PM

I wish I was able to help out more. sad smiley But I will keep praying for #ERIC.

05/31/09 9:41 PM

I really wish I could. Not just to get all that badass stuff, too.

05/31/09 8:42 PM

sounds good trent just 1000$ still is a little steep for my budget at the moment, i would of dropped it if you had a meet and greet in atlanta but this wasnt available then. Maybe you can offer the wave goodbye tour poster signed for like 300$ i think thats fare and you can have many of those printed to reduce cost and to give more to Eric. Just a thought trent.... i'd pick one up in a second

This is a very cool offer. My husband and I donated $1000 and got the VIP package to the KC show last Wednesday. The day was beyond amazing. Everyone was incredibly kind which made the day even more wonderful.

Our healthcare system is completely dysfunctional. I have been working in healthcare for the last 10 years. People pay hundreds, somtimes thousands of dollars a month for insurance coverage that pays little or nothing for their medical care in the end. Because insurance companies don't pay shit, healthcare facilities are constantly raising their prices. An endless cycle of greediness. The government created Medicaid for individuals that don't make enough to pay for their insurance but they do very little monitor those who abuse the system and are running it into the ground. Not to mention... Medicaid is only good in the state you live in so if your are traveling or need specialized care outside your state - you are fucked. Then there are the people who don't qualify for state funded insurance and can't pay for their own. Good luck if you ever need something major done. You'll end up paying on it for the rest of your life or declaring it in bankruptcy.

I've been very lucky to work for an independent urgent care facility owned by a doctor that decided to go out on his own to offer something different to our community. Our area is unique in that we have two major hospitals and they are completely separate networks. Meaning that whatever insurance policy you have, you are only in network with one or the other of the hospitals (which includes their regular doctors offices, specialists, etc.) This means you are stuck with the network your insurance is in. You don't get to choose. Our office is in one of the networks and we have contracts we have to follow just like everyone else BUT... the neat thing that we have decided to do recently is to accept all insurance plans - including the out of network people. We have set things up to where they will not pay more than $99 for their care. Even if they have a $500 bill - they will only pay $99. We also have a flat rate that we offer to our patients without insurance so they can still get the care they need. And... we started a membership type program a few years ago that has been extrememly helpful to people without insurance that want some type of coverage.

I didn't set out to talk about all this and I'm sure it is quite boring to most people... BUT I think it is important for people to know that there are people in the world of healthcare that are making a difference in a good way.

05/31/09 11:10 PM

It's worth it. Every little bit helps.

05/31/09 10:49 PM

still paying off the 300 to meet ya and the 100 to have front row seats smiling smiley see you guys in 2 days

05/31/09 11:03 PM

awesome, you guys should think about doing more bigger stuff too like maybe a signed guitar by the whole band up on eBay or something i'm sure that would go for a ton of cash especially if its for a good cause
