GAH I would totally pitch in with the $1000!

Just one problem..im 16 and I don't have a job

Its kinda hard trying to convince your parents you let you borrow a thousand dollars, especially in this economy. sad smiley

But I still send my regards to Eric and the band, and i LOVED the gig back over here in Mountain View..absolutely AMAZING

Trying to get $1000 together to make this happen.

06/01/09 6:26 AM

That's awsome, i'd donate for sure if i had the money sad smiley The still is a brilliant album, and then some. Ohh to have them all signed by TR, not to mention a board signed by tony hawk!

Kick ass giveaway's for a beyond great cause, nice work to everyone involved

Thank you for the additions, Trent. My fiancée and I will be meeting you on Tuesday in Toronto. When the donation packages were announced the other week, we decided that the donation to Eric would be our wedding gift to each other. We would rather donate to save a man's life rather than buy a general gift for each other that would eventually become outdated and end up in our attic. Saving a life is much more valuable.

We wish the best for Eric and we're looking forward to a great show as always.

Wow, this is exactly what my wife to be and I are doing! Its such a great idea, and you can't go wrong by contributing to a cause like this. Obviously we all get something out of it too, but the good intentions are there. We're meeting the band on Wednesday in Mass. And getting married on Sunday. If only we could get Trent to marry us, or play at the wedding. Haha!

Ok folks, I will try and post this here and hope for better results...Seriously, Veronica needs 1000 signatures on a petition to try and rectify the issues that plague our health care system, and contributed to this mess for Eric in the first place...it will take all of a few minutes of your time, and cost you nothing...PLEASE...sign it NOW!

What is wrong with Eric's heart? Is it a congenital or acquired heart defect?

Why is this NIN's last tour?

06/01/09 11:07 AM

grrr @ being poor !

lol jk

oh well whoever gets it is clearly a huge fan like all of us to not only spend $1000
on that [awesome!!] package and they deserve it
....the finger smiley

thanks so much trent for this awesome idea
changing the music industry for the better even after 20 years

ill be in the lawn seats [fail] at the MA show!

I wish I had the money for this. What a great cause and a great bundle of work.

I've spread the info to others to drum up more to help. If there's a cheaper package, I suspect they would sell out quickly to those without a bigger budget.

Keeping tabs on this and sending positive energy Eric's way.

The power of solidarity is undeniable.

Maybe a JA meet and greet??

Man would be great to have a couple more for remaining US ones $300 or $1000 or even more , saving a life is well worth it , being able to see the man that has truly shown his best side on this tour and helping save a life is awesome , or exposing our crappy health system..

I for one would not hesitate to donate $500 for 1 ( and a friend)of June 10th ( PA show) , (sorry tony im to old to skate) meet and greet. That would make not only my trip worth it , but know that I helped save a life a met the coolest group of musicans for what maybe the last chance..

Great work ALL....

God, I wish I had money to spare. My money's still going to pay off my hospital bills and college loans.

06/01/09 12:34 PM

Just donated $10 through the NIN store link. Wish I could have given more--but every little bit adds up.

I twittered it for more support.

I'd be willing to kick in some original artwork (I'm a professional artist) in support for the cause, as an auction, special editions, or whatnot. I've done Nine Inch Nails imagery, and many other subjects, etc.

Interested?

From the Lieh Tzu, a Taoist text:

An old man was thought to be a fool because he wanted to move the mountains out of the way to make travel easier for his village. He was old and decrepit, but went out to move stones one at a time with his sons and their sons.

He didn't move the mountain by himself--rather, the more he moved on a small scale, the more people began to see that even the largest obstacle could be tackled by moving one small block at a time.

Ordered one a few days ago, pretty broke now too, but it was worth it, but I know when the gear arrives I'll just jump up and down like an eight year old at Christmas, along with the cash hopefully helping out a needy fan, well, can't go wrong can you? I urge anyone and everyone to donate whatever they can!

Wow! Excellent offer Trent, and to be honest, I think a BETTER offer. The VIP Show package was nice and all, but memories fade over time. 3 Autographed copies of LE material?!? That Jane's offer is pretty fucking sweet as well! sarcasm Your starting to make me feel like I got ripped off Trent! /sarcasm

In all seriousness, thank you Trent for these unique opportunities, and for all you do for your fans, and for all you've done for Eric!

I think it is absolutly wonderful how you sit down and write everything.

You are a great person!

Trent (& NIN!) thanks so much for being amazing and doing so much to not only help Eric, but to bring focus to the healthcare problem(s).

ARe the VIP packages still available for Europe?

06/21/09 12:37 AM

Im so impressed by everyone who is helping Eric...it's great to see people still care about other people...I'm glad to donate what ever I can and sign petitions. Eric's situation is a perfect example of why, as a nation, we have to get more involved with health care reform. Having dealt with bullshit insurance companies for years, I know what its like to be really sick and not be able to afford treatment and Rx. When your sick its hard enough to advocate for your self and on top of that, you have to fight the insurance co. every step of the f*ckin way. If I didn't have family and friends to help, to find resources, financial aid, write congress, etc., I would have been screwed. Everyone should have a shot at life, not just those who the insurance company's pick and choose. Trent is a stand up guy for using NIN to get Eric's cause attention, but it's still messed up that it takes a fundraiser to save his life. The health system is never going to be perfect, but we can do so much better than this. TR your awesome and I'm proud to say that I'm a fan.

Hello all,

I took the 1000$ package with a friend, and we are glad to help Eric and have great time with NIN at the same time.

I have a question though. My VIP package is for the Paris show on July 7th. I'm working and i won't be able to leave my job until 5.30pm (which is close to the show). Do you people know if there is a precise time when we have to show up ?

Thanks in advance for your help, i'm kinda worried.

Take care.

06/23/09 11:58 AM

WOW! Just got my package! I LOVE IT!

UPS was threatening to send it back! They came when I wasn't home, so I redirected it to work and they came to my house again, lol. I actually took the day off from work today to make sure I got it. Mine is #10!

I did the $1000 meet and greet in Toronto too! PRICELESS!!!

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am tempted to take the skateboard and get a slurpee but the last time I was on one I almost rearranged my tailbone! eye popping smiley

One more exclamation point !

Still waiting for my package to arrive. Did you folks get a tracking number or a notification that it has been sent? I have an open ticket regarding that topic since the 24th, but haven't recieved an answer yet. sad smiley

You probably should call in sick on the 7th. I'm not sure about Europe, but in the U.S. we donors got let in to the venue around 1:30 for the M&G, soundcheck and dinner. If you paid that much, I'm sure you won't want to miss out on meeting TR et al! You should get an e-mail the day before with precise instructions.

Enjoy the experience - I sure did!!!

Nevermind. This is the Tony Hawk donor thread, not M&G. My mistake.

Mine took about 3 weeks. I didn't get a tracking # or any notice other than the sticky on my mailbox from UPS saying we were here but you were not. yawning smiley
