That is exciting. I wish you and your future wife the best and hope your music together turns out to be superb. Looking at your track record I am sure it will be great.

Also, I am glad you are continuing to post on here. Keep up the great work!

*EDIT* A new NIN album wouldn't be so bad now would it? thumbs up smiling smiley

Like...

I've got a number of things lining up to start working on post NIN tour already, including a secret music project outside nine inch nails I'm very excited about. I can't tell you anything about it yet or who's involved but I'll give you a hint: I'm marrying one of the participants.

More soon (maybe).

Very cool. I am excited to hear the analog and digital collaboration.

I have only heard a handful of songs by West Indian girl, however I liked what I heard. I am sure that Trent and his lovely fiance will make great music together.

P.S. Congratulations to you two lovebirdssmiling smiley

I have a feeling this "new project" is going to be so insanely good that it could be as epic as John Lennon and Yoko Ono getting together!!!!

Well fuckity fuck...I must really be living under a rock these days. I don't even hear the rumors anymore.

::shrugs::

eta...why am I all of a sudden hearing "drop it like it's hot..." in mah head now?

I had never read that Yoko comparison before. XD Originality FTW!!! winking smiley

Mariqueen is way hotter if you ask me, and NIN is not going to dissolve since Trent is NIN. grinning smiley

Hello NIN community. I've been down for years but decided to join...anyway, i am glad to hear that trent is doing projects outside of NIN. West indian girl is a great group...i would love to hear the two merge.

Probably a generic media outlet that tries to put a rap battle spin on everything you say. At least we know they like to presume a lot of shit that isn't real, or they like to exaggerate it and tell us who you "be dissing" today. They probably wanted to be the first to tell about the imaginary album you had ready instead of reading that as "currently planning to work on something," statement. They're probably not the people to blame, but it would make sense.

Oh the wait to hear new news is going to kill us all!

I really don't enjoy any NIN music with female voices, or any female imagery in the music that doesn't reflect me somehow. I like to mentally put myself in the music.

Lets be honest guys, if there was a record ready to drop we would have seen heavy usage of the word "Soon" in recent statements. This has not happened, therefore no album.

Maybe this collaboration album from T & Q will be titled Soon.

Awesome news! Are The Horrors involved by any chance...? smiling bouncing smiley

'soon (maybe)' what a tease!

Apparently, this person explains how it got started:

If somebody asks me, it's like when people refer to NIN, they could be just talking about music Trent Reznor is working on, not a NIN release. But, since they are talking about TR, they just say NIN, so, word of mouth. and now everyone is like ...huh???

It could simply be the news TR mentioned a day or 2 ago.

Trent m'boy, I don't care who you collaborate with, just as long as your music retains its edge and strength and power. On second thoughts, could any future collaborations please include Robin? And maybe Justin and Ilan as well, but especially Robin. Please? smiling smiley

We'll just have to wait and see where this all goes.

08/12/09 4:20 PM

why the sonny & cher, john & yoko references? let's all look backwards, eh? even if the references are based on others, not on the actuals involved. it's what us fans are best at. informed criticism. ?. who knows what will come of this. it's all good, because it's onwards and upwards, whatever our pet hates/ likes are. just cut out the cross references . please. open minds and open ears. time to move on. If it's shite, I'm sure he'll be told in no uncertain terms. but why the rush to precondemn? "because we're concerned about TR". shove that. we are here for our own reasons. let the man get on with what he does best - doing what he does. he doesn't need us to guide him.

Dear Trent,
I realize this is out of text yet has to
be said to get you to put your PM post back on.
Back several months ago I remarked on your PM
about a certain photo subject that was rather
snyde of me that I did not mean, and I am
writing to apologize for my off-guardedness.
Please forgive me my rudeness, please don't take it out
on the rest of those who really do love you.
Please don't let my stupidity ruin it for the rest and for you.

P.S.
Congradulations on the future.
Inri.

Robin is already married, as we all know.
However, it WOULD be cool if Robin were in on the project.
Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Thanks for the update, Trent...I'm really excited too....I can't wait to hear it!

I'm really hoping for more piano-oriented songs.

I love when it Trent shows off his divine talent on the piano!
