I think you should at least judge the project for it's music. Not for it's photographs. You are pretty shallow if I do say so myself.

Regarding Trent's absence of singing -- they must have already tried this in the studio. If it works they will include it, if it sounds bad they wont; 'nuff said.

I do wish you the best of luck with it. This is sort of the boat I'm on, but I'm going to get the EP when it is released and give it a few solid listens and give it a chance. From what I have heard so far though, it's just not doing it for me. The video for Space in Between is great, visually. It seems like the concept was very good and then the execution of that concept was also good. But the music is just not happening for me. I've been a fan - a rabid, staunch fan - for many many years (you can see my join date here) and while everything didn't send the tingle up my leg I did enjoy most all of it and appreciated the artistry, the musicality, the innovation. The live experiences were all incredible. I feel like I went on a journey every single time. I guess I shouldn't have to qualify/justify my opinion so much, but I almost feel guilty that I hear this stuff and think "meh".

It's like when my best friend walks out of the dressing room wearing something that is unflattering. I love her, and I hate to say anything to her about it. I'm surprised at myself that I posted anything here at all. I'm curious too about a potential live interpretation. In the 90s, the whole whispery-female-vocals-over-trip-hop genre was big, and (not to say that this is whispery-female-vocals-over-trip-hop) it didn't really translate well on stage.

I can't speak for who is handling what in terms of the creative process, reguardless of how obvious it may seem. However, in a live atmosphere, it will be her against the world. A lot of people, especially at that first show, are going to be going into it with a negative outlook. She will have a lot to prove both as a performer and as an artist. I think that is where we will find out how well this works and how good it really is.
