Trent's tweet

Trent Reznor posted:
Just saw and heard some work-in-progress footage from the final NIN shows last year and it managed to make me miss touring!

Put it together with the comments previously made regarding a possibility of touring after a full length album from HTDA, and it's looking good folks. I put this in the HTDA forum because I felt it was more relevant to HTDA than NIN.

Discuss.

Not thinking HDTA on that tweet. I'm thinking .. Final Shows BluRay and Trent getting the itch. Awww man!! It has been .. what .. 14 months since the last shows.

11/30/10 4:06 PM

How about HTDA opens up for NIN?

11/30/10 4:50 PM

I'd be down with seeing either HTDA or NIN touring...or both.

11/30/10 10:55 PM

I would guess that neither will be "touring" anytime soon, but maybe after a year or so break, he/they WILL miss playing and will do some shows here and there.

12/01/10 7:40 AM

If and when HTDA tours I would like to see a few Coil tribute songs played.

02/21/11 6:05 AM

If HTDA do tour, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE come to the uk...I never got to see NIN live so I feel quite deprived as it is......

As much as I'd love this, I doubt it would happen for a very long time. Tours are expensive, and our useless press gave them so little coverage that no one knows them. So, spread the word and maybe it'll be worth their while coming here!

I am, I will, this has become my mission in life....I just saw Trent in an interview on youtube with Tony Hawkes and Trent was talking about the ep and that the album would be coming out in 2011 and maybe a tour on the back of that....didn't mention whether it would be coming to our side of the pond tho unfortunately. Hoping, hoping....waiting with baited breath. If not I'll be making every effort to get my ass to the states to see them! Howzat for dedication then, eh? hee hee.....

I agree, I could see Trent touring with HTDA a lot sooner than another NIN tour.

But.. I do like the idea of HTDA opening for NIN. That would be an awesome double bill.

A girl can dream indeed! ;-)
I agree with you guys, HTDA opening for NIN would be awesome but I doubt Trent will tour again for another 2 or 3 years... and most of all, I doubt they would bother to come to Europe: the music industry sucks around here, the only bands getting press coverage are the shitty ones heard on the radio...

03/05/11 8:31 AM

Chances are if they tour, it'll be strictly U.S./Europe. Having them hit up Chile or S.A. would be great, but that's not going to happen.

" Touring again? Sure, With NIN, Maybe"

The interview before the Golden Globe Win.

03/07/11 11:21 AM

I thought TR stop NIN for real when he started selling the bands gear on ebay. Then again he's got the money to buy whatever piece of musical equipment he needs or wants.

03/25/11 3:05 AM

If there is a tour I'd love Sonoio to be one of the support acts too. That would just be fucking awesome!

We have to save up for plane tickets as well as concert tickets then I guess...I'll leave the UK for that for a few days, I'd pawn my guitar and sell my car for a NIN ticket and a flight!

Not happening any time soon.

A ) Fincher is doing the US adaptation for Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, Trent will be scoring the it.

B ) The Social Network soundtrack was officially released by Null Corporation. Trent may have some aspiration to be a producer, and a guide to other artists (like Saul Williams) in a "post record label relevance" world.

C ) They have a kid. I mean I guess it is feasible to take the kid with you, but I'm willing to take Trent at his word of saying that he wanted to move on to other areas of his life, even if it's not indefinite.

EDIT: removed unintentional smilies.

well, i think he'll be touring in 2012 myself.

probably not a huge tour but in that last interview i read..he said it was only a matter of time before he wants to get back on the road.

and i think trent is someone that likes to live through others creatively.
a sort of dr. victor frankenstein going around making monster stars out of people he sees potential in and i think he sees that in mariqueen at the moment and he'll want her to experience what singing to a NIN-like crowd can feel like.

03/30/11 12:35 PM

I'm pretty sure NIN will be touring again soon. Maybe in 2 - 4 years.

Fuck yeah, you can tour with a baby, we have ear defenders for small persons these days don't we? Heck he can get custom ones with the band logo, t'aint like he can't afford 'em!!!!

^Great news!

05/21/11 8:34 PM

I don't think there's any doubt about at a HTDA tour of some type, possibly as soon as next year, to support the album that's coming out this fall. Trent himself said he will absolutely tour again at some point. It might not be a long one, like we're used to with NIN, and I'm positive it won't be arena shows (which is good, because HTDA would be much cooler in a smaller, club-size venue.)

The only question here is about NIN, but I have hope that he'll cave and play at least a small run of NIN shows again one day.

12/05/11 1:30 PM

Trent JUST mentioned on a radio interview that they are kicking around some touring possibilities next year.

12/06/11 10:26 AM

I just don't see it working. I don't think HTDA has a good enough fan base to tour. Even with all the fans here that are excited, you still have to fill an arena. Myself, I don't care for the sound of HTDA and wouldn't buy a ticket to the show just because it was Trent and his woman on stage.

Why would they have to play an arena? I've seen bands play to a crowd of 50 people, and be much better than one to 10 thousand.
