People usually don't release on Wednesdays. I figure it will be two weeks.

True, CD/DVD releases are generally on Tuesdays
For my completely random prediction, I say it'll be 4 weeks from today (April 3).

I just hope it's out before April 4th.
I want to listen to it on my way to PAX East.
How else can I get through 14 hours of driving :/

03/10/12 5:35 PM

This really can't come quick enough.

03/12/12 9:32 AM

yeah, I'm also waiting for this.

03/14/12 1:01 AM

Word on the net, and this is completely unfounded and could be total bullshit so take it for what it is (it was posted to a site and then quickly removed), but apparently the record will be titled 'Infidel Hearts' and will be released April 9th.

03/14/12 1:13 PM

Do you have a source for which site posted it? I want to know if this all stems from a possible erroneous single source, or from more than one.

Yeah, sounds like BS. That date sounds about right. I was figuring that if the album didn't drop early April, we'd surely get the announcement around then.

Man, that would really be BAD ASS. I hope this is all true, but I doubt that it is.

A thought I had recently:

Assuming there isn't another delay, TGWTDT Deluxe sets will be shipping next Friday, March 30th. Now, I do realize that TGWTDT was not a HTDA project, but a Trent and Atticus project. However, we do know HTDA was involved in some capacity as a whole, given the cover track at the end of the album and the fact that Mariqueen lent her voice to a couple of the tracks. Taking this into account, I can't help but wonder if perhaps HTDA plans on dropping any clues with these sets. Perhaps maybe something other than the album on one of the USB drives?

03/22/12 4:34 PM

Well, that would be cool and I hope so, but I don't think it will happen. HTDA and TGWTDT (and TSN for that matter) are two very seperate entities, even though the same people are involved. But in this case I hope I'm wrong :p

03/28/12 5:39 PM

Can't wait!

03/30/12 9:14 AM

I thought this was interesting, HTDA finally updated their Facebook. Nothing big, they just changed to the FB Timeline, adding a coverpage.

Also interesting, the NIN Facebook was updated too, getting the coverpage for the Fragile. Maybe we'll be getting that deluxe Fragile release this year as well?!?!

03/30/12 9:41 AM

Damn, I figured we'd have some kind of information by now.
:/

I don't think so - all FB pages have been automatically upgraded with Timeline functionality, and even though they added a proper coverpicture, that does not mean anything.

I hope when they do have a release date certain, that they share the news with big style smiling smiley

I'm hoping a "soon" will come soon.... I'm eager to see/hear what has been arranged & produced and to further understand what HTDA is. I also would like something in my hand.

04/09/12 3:45 AM

Boom! April 9th and no album or news.

Seriously, this is torturous stuff. Just a "soon" would keep me satiated for a short while.

youre not alone

Oh Trent and Mariqueen, why must you tease us like this? It's been two months since Trent twitted that they were on their last day of mixing the new HTDA album, surely they must at least have a release date in mind or a title?

04/10/12 8:59 AM

My theory is that they want to give TGWTDT some more exposure and attention; sales; before the earth shaking HTDA release or news of a release date - which is very understandable. Perhaps, some other private matters too.

I've played the current album hundreds of times... I'm beyond curious and not knowing what to expect... though I think we may hear some TGWTDT influence leak over. Given HTDA's current situation I can't imagine there will be much or any real-heated-anger or hate - maybe a dash of abhorrence towards global/political situations and leeching soul sucking assholes who suck the last drop right from you.

04/11/12 1:39 PM

things are most likely backed up. i recieved an email from topspin saying that my vinyl wont ship until the end of april =/

04/11/12 9:15 PM

The wait is killing me.

04/12/12 6:40 PM

How about a Record Store Day (4/21/12) release of some HTDA! Yesss...???

according to an r/nin redditor...

"Likely he is referring to an end in his creative process whereby he drives Mulholland Dr with the new album as a soundtrack. This is a relatively long, scenic drive where he could test the feel of the album under conditions he believes would be apropos for ideal listening." - ConcreteLobotomy

... there are a couple other people that said roughly the same thing. pretty sweet if that information is true.

Either that or he is listening to the album while watching that David Lynch movie. spinning smiley sticking its tongue out
But my guess would also be that he was driving his car.

04/17/12 9:49 AM

Why doesn't his personal twitter link up to Nin.com?

04/17/12 10:52 AM

Why should it? He does more than just NIN

Ahh yes! The drive, something I've done with my music many times.

• Burn new song or songs onto blank CD
• Get into car and put CD on the seat; don’t want to start yet
• Make your way to a long, uninterrupted & scenic highway outside the city
• Eagerly pop the CD into the CD Player (or connect Bluetooth)
• Increase volume
• Analyze & Enjoy

Happy to hear that the album is ready for the presses piratebay. I, for one, hope for and expect a hardcopy containing artwork and all the spices that go with the experience. I miss going into a music store, flipping through albums, getting into my car or home and remove the cellophane. I am truly amazed, still, by the 2010 EP & MQ's vox.

I hope the group hadn't become too involved with other projectes to give HTDA the attention it requires... but... knowing TR, well i think I do, it received more than enough.
