The classes I take incorporate a lot of running. For the level I'm in we can do up to 8-9km per class. I try to do at least 4 classes per week smiling smiley

Whenever I do a lot of running as part of my routine I try to make sure I do weights and pilates. Yes, plilates... it works.

You can always run and bike Rhett tongue sticking out smiley Soon enough you will want to be doing triathlons lol. What type of classes are you taking that incorporate running Scarlet? I need to start running to give myself some more challenges and to mix things up from the cycling.

Just got back from a jog, pouring out. But a hot shower after a run in the rain feels great.

Just got back from a 12 mile jog (making up for yesterday). My hands are so cold I can barely type!

Managed a 5km jog today, not bad considering it was the first time out since the dreaded Shin splints!

Now I just need to get back to running at a decent pace sad smiley

Going for a jog in the next half hour or so. It's really starting to feel like a New England winter.

Must wear:

Hat--Your ears!
Mittens-Your fingers!
An extra pair of underwear--My God does that hurt if you don't, gentleman!

So I took a break from running. Since the break up, I've pretty much haven't done anything but work and sleep. I haven't had any motivation to run. I just got my new running shoes in the mail and hopefully my new headphones will be in today too. I think new gear always helps get a person to get out there again. I set myself a goal last year between February and August. I think I will do the same thing, except maybe set the miles higher.

I am in need of some encouragement.

That stupid Nike slogan "Just Do It" says all that needs to be said. Sometimes I feel bad/depressed/anxious and running is a big, big help. The hardest thing is just getting out the door. But once you start you get into the swing of things. So "Just Do It" and you will thank yourself.

I recently started the 212 miles in 2012 Nike+ Challenge and it's really bumped my motivation up to get out and get some miles behind me!

185miles to go!
