^^^I feel your pain, so to speak. I'm really starting to fiend for running but I can barely walk at a normal pace.

I joined a local Aquatic Center and have replaced my running with a stationary bike and lot's of swimming. It's a good release but it's not quite the same.

I'm totally paranoid about getting injured before the marathon. The last thing I need is to be sidelined during training.

Finally got my P.T. evaluation today. My tendonitis is doing really good... They told me I don't NEED to come back but, I can get back to running a bit quicker with their help... Looks like I'm going to get put on the treadmill for my first run attempt in a month (and a half?) on the 8th.

YES! I saw the Orthopedic Doc today and got cleared to run.
He says that I'm ready to start back up slowly and just pay attention to any pain that I might have and pace my intensity and duration off of that.

I've got my final PT appointment tommorrow and they are going to put me on the treadmill now that I'm cleared. I'm finding it hard to wait until then but, I've already waited this long.

Well, fuck me running... literally.

I'm now on yet another program that will get me back to running, instead of being able to do light jogging (like I thought I would be able to do starting TODAY).

Even though the Doc cleared me, the Physical Therapist wasn't comfortable getting me to light jogging yet.

I've got to do a week of long stride, fast pace, high incline walking (every day for about 45 minutes)...It's suppossed to be 2 weeks of this but, fortunately for me, that's exactly what I've been doing for a week so he dropped me down to 1 more week of this.

Then there's abunch more but basically I thought that I'd be back to 6'ish mile runs in 3 weeks... more like 8 weeks until I'm suppossed to be doing that!

Pretty dissapointed.

Had my first jog in what seems like forever today. The weather was perfect too!

I'm now on the 5 minute jog, 5 minute walk, for between 40 minutes and an hour routine for the next week... Though I may do this for a little longer. This is my next step towards getting back to full running and I must say that as nice as it was while I was out and jogging I'm a bit sore now. Thankfully, it's not my healing ankle/achilles that hurts but my shins.
I REALLY need some new running shoes that actually fit too.
