When it comes to Nine Inch Nails, are you a bit of a snob? Do you look at some concert goers and think, for example "what's that douchey "brah" jock doing here? I doubt he even likes NIN." Or maybe you had an unpleasant visceral reaction to a preppy-type, or a hipster who claimed to like Nine Inch Nails.
Obviously this is very judgmental and no one can know for sure what something means to someone else, but is anyone else here, besides me, guilty of being a little bit snobish when it comes to all things NIN?
Ahhh yeah. I think I'm definitely a bit snobbish with NIN, yeah. >< I mean, it just depends on how the person acts about NIN, especially people my age (I feel like it's a different story for people who loved NIN the first time around). If they ACT like they're a die-hard fan, or something, but are clearly not (like...people who have NO IDEA Trent went on his "Wave Goodbye" tour, which was so recent, lol), then I may judge a little.
And, admittedly, when I was at the With Teeth concert, and there were a bunch of teeny boppers around me (I couldn't get pit tickets for that

), and they didn't react to a single song until, near the end, Trent played "The Hand That Feeds," and the little teeny bopper girls went apeshit and bounced around, I got quite irritated.
But, if someone does truly appreciate NIN, on any level, then it doesn't bother me. There are plenty of bands I really like, whose stuff I'm not necessarily super-well-acquainted with, and who I just can't follow as religiously as I do NIN, but I still really enjoy them.
...I feel like I'm not coherent right now.
