My poms are getting bigger. I think I'll have 4-5 this year.

We have a lot of flowers. Not enough I don't think, but I wouldn't say we're into gardening either way because we don't mess with them much. I did fuss over them during this spring so maybe they'll look better the next time. We have lilies, roses, wisteria, morning glories and some kind of flower thats growing in the front of our house which blooms at odd times and dandelions.

My dad fusses always tells me the dandelions are weeds and I need to mow them but when they turn all white and fluffy I blow on them or run through them so they spread and grow more and then he's all like "Why the hell do have so many fucking dandelions?" X) . I like them. Plus they attract the bunnies. No body doesn't like bunnies.

Also I saw something about keyhole gardens and I want to make a few of those with my family and plant various herbs and veggies.
We have some fig trees too which I noticed today have fruit starting to grow on them. There are banana trees too in the front of our house but they never grow anything except for leaves

Gardening rocks! I'm into edible landscaping of my yard. When I choose a shrub or tree to plant, it needs to produce edible fruit or berries. I also have a vegetable garden where I grow kale, berries, tomatoes, and grapes. Every Fall I freeze bags of kale, which I add to most recipes all winter long to enhance the nutrient content.

Here's some of the edible plants that inhabit my yard:

Blackberries
Red raspberries

I simply have to agree - gardening rocks and it is so meditative. Being all alone wrapped up in thoughts while concentrating on gardening and planting... it all makes sense somehow. Giving something back to mother Earth who nurtures you with everything she can provide throughout out whole life. I simply love nature.

In my garden grow a lot of things - I love my Red Raspberries. They are so delicious. I even have perfectly white roses that simply look like touched by the first falling of snow. And I already convinced my sister to enjoy gardening and she now plants trees all by herself and she is all wrapped up in this process and it grew to be a hobby of hers to calm down from a harsh day of work. I love the fact that we have this in common.

Due to the severe drought and the record heat in Texas/US, my lawn is like dry straw and my flower garden is dead. dead. dead.

I will be planting cacti and succulents in the spring.

I transplanted 4 rose bushes, they are now in total transplant shock, this never happened to me before, I wonder if they will survive? bummed.
