captain picard because he has a smooth head, a face of character, an accent and he is far more refined than captain kirk. doesn't hurt that picard keeps it in his pants on most planets compared to kirk and his wandering star dick. yar!

oh and because, most of all, as snobby as it seems: picard appears to have far more to talk about, is articulate with it, and just seems far more interesting a brain than kirk.

But to answer your question about captains. I love Picard. He's bald and a genius and I don't even find his accent annoying. His voice is very soothing. I just love Patrick Stewart in general and he can do no wrong in my eyes.
