I am trying to forget the fact that I got so thirsty at the Palladium that I drank a bottle of water someone'd left on the ground.

Germ-central no doubt. But two days out I'm still feeling fine, fingers-crossed...

I'm actually leery to post this in fear of starting panic. I went to the 4 NYC shows and got sick after Webster Hall, was still sick when I flew to LA for those four shows. All my symptoms have been respiratory (no puking or runs). Was secretly kinda glad that the Fonda show got cancelled/postponed because I could barely breathe or move after Palladium. Slept all of Thursday, got up and passed out. Went to the ER (I HATE hospitals, but particularly those not from where you are and thus aren't familiar with---I'm a doctor and am used to the perks I get in MY area). Found out I have pneumonia. Advised NOT to attend any more shows, and not to fly anytime soon. Well, I sure as fuck AM going to the last shows and am flying back on Monday.

This does not mean everyone or anyone else will get this sick, a very small % of flu victims get pneumonia and/or other serious complications. Its usually just the very young and the very old that get hit hard. But I am a *special snowflake* and have serious underlying health issues that not only will shorten my life (thank god at this rate) but also make me prone to pneumonia. And since I'm not contagious, the only risk to going to these shows is to myself.

Just wondered if anyone else got fucked by the fickle finger of the flu fate fairy.

T5 had this weird slow rain condensation thing happening during Wednesday's show...wondering if that had anything to do with it.

I am REALLY trying to forget that!! All out body heat, rising, condensing, gathering, falling back on all of us??? It's a wonder we're not ALL sick!!!!

*went home and took a scalding hot shower*

Yeah that was pretty disgusting...especially now that I'm thinking about it more! NYC clubs need to have better ventilation!

Also I just want to say that I love your tiny trent livejournal post! grinning smiley

The Misses and I went to the second NYC show and Friday we both were sick. We are still fighting it.

So I went to the show at the Palladium 2 days ago and I'm already feeling a little under the weather. Its only a mild sore throat right now, but I hope it doesn't escalate. I'm pretty sure I caught whatever TR had, but whatever, the show was too epic for words and it completely makes up for any illness I may have incurred. Figured I'd add myself to this growing list.

It's interesting to see how a virus like this can spread, piggybacking on the fans and musicians of a NIN tour.

I went to the Echoplex show on Sunday.

Woke up this morning with a sore throat and nasal congestion.

Got to work and now I can feel a fever coming on.

Sigh.

I can beat all o' ya!

I was sick all summer and didn't even know it until recently! I went to the NIN show feeling crappy without knowing why! I'm feeling crappy even now!!

Unfortunately it's not contagious.
