always epic. Hope you kept some of the same band line up. They've been the best yet, musically. Your chemistry with them has been insane.

I still think that there could be a Fringe tie in or some other JJ Abrams collaboration. I am basing this on the earlier work that Trent did for Fringe(Zero Sum rework), and JJ's comment that he could see Trent doing some sort of acting work on the show, since he did the Zero Sum rework pro-bono.

If you're not actually in New Orleans, don't drink, and aren't actively participating in some local half-assed attempt to emulate the parade/etc. of New Orleans Mardi Gras, what exactly is preventing work getting done? I'm not saying he's not busy with non-music things. I just find this explanation ignorant of the reality of the situation.

That's actually an awesome observation. At the risk of seeming stalkerish (go ahead, let me have it, I really don't give a flying fuck), if you go to the official members search results, and organize it by "latest login", Alessandro has apparently been on nin.com recently. Hmmmmmmmm.

Ah, yes... Alessandro. He's back again.
In the first time, I thought it was Trent's MS-20.

Thanks for more info. :-)

I do not think it is Trent's. In all of the studio shots from the last five to six years, I have never seen a korg ms-20. His modular system could easily do everything the ms-20 could do...so I really suspect someone brought it with them.

PS : For clarification, I am not referring to the software collection plus the hardware controller that came with it.

Patiently awaits something new! Totally elated, excited, and overjoyed but trying to be patient... I'm hoping for YZ2!

holds laughter..the beauty of a single picture, representing a thousand words, is so amazing, that almost brings tears into my eyes...so..grins..you say we can expect Trent dressed up as pack man, featuring the next album graphics? grins more. I hope that comes with an expansion and has a really annoying ost, composed of those electronic minimalistic gingles, typical in that kind of game. Awww...any chance he may be working on tetris ost too? cleans the drops of irony, from the corners of her mouth. I would really fry my brains with those...advise him puzzle bubble too, btw =(-.-)=

Don't you think it's strange fantasizing about what Trent is doing? It's like fantasy football, except with band members and line-ups and shit. Well, Trent's an expert at making us salivate like Pavlov's dog. Bastard. I do like his idea of releasing 3 EP's instead of a full album. He's a friggin' marketing genius.

I've got both family and friends in recovery, so I find it difficult to accept insinuations that someone who is recovered is far too busy partying to get anything done.

It's obvious none of us are sure of what's going on. We can't be, right now.
Still, I "think" I'm "finding" little clues/suggestions here and there.
For instance, I read that Believer article, and I'll quote something intriguing Reznor had said in the interview:

"If I had a fifteen-song full-length record now, ready to go today--if it lent itself to it, I might split it up into five three-song EPs that come out every couple of weeks. And that would give me five spikes of interest instead of one. Because as soon as your record leaks, it's like your cards are on the table, and everyone's on to the next thing: the collectible mindset."

Grant it, the context in which TR speaks here is referring to how to preserve your album from becoming old before it's even new.
The little crack in the ice for me was seeing the first picture 5 days from today; the second, 4 days; the third and fourth, 3.
No evidence on Friday, nor yesterday. While the idea of today being a holiday therefore NIN will show/give/tell us something today may sort of wax bullshit...it's still an interesting notion...also considering this day or the 15th of 2007, we heard "My Violent Heart." Yeah, there's the whole "heart" bit meshing with this holiday, and all, but the point is: Reznor could quite possibly hint us or surprise today, especially with tree to four days of buildup and then silence for the next two.

Well fucking said... I want a 15 track album of awesome vocals, and great dark music.
And, yeah, it could be tomorrow. Could be weeks from now. Most likely not months, when it comes to what's "going on" right now. Sure, it may not be NIN-related...

Main point of all of this: it could be tonight. And, yes, I will stay excited and keep an eye out for that. Or, maybe I'll just wait till tomorrow...or days beyond that.
Fuck, I know nothing.

^^Well said and a very good analysis of what the future could hold.

Like you are the only one who has ever gone through that? Jesus Christ.

And, let me add, that Mardi Gras to SOME people--though contrary to popular belief--isn't about drinking their liver to death or seeing a bunch of breasts. Some of us actually celebrate it differently, pay tribute to the history of Louisiana and our Cajun heritage, and don't plan on taking a sip of alcohol in the process. Trent has a deep love for Louisiana, why couldn't he be enjoying it?
