As far as the possibility that this is not another ghosts who knows, (Trent does of course) I seem to remember what sounds like distorted voices on 24 Ghosts III. At this point it could be anything. What ever it is any of the possibilities that have been postulated sound good to me.

He could just add a few 'ooooohs' in there, mix it in a way that it's not a 'true' vocal, and voila'. Ghosts V-VIII. Just saying. Whatever it is I can't wait. Only sad part is that it's probably a little ways away. Hopefully he's close to being done. Would he tease us for months on end (yes)?

I have the UTMOST respect for Trent for not being afraid to try something new, and I love Ghosts just as much as every NIN release, but one of the major trademarks of NIN/TR in general is Trent's voice, and Im glad to see that it's not going to be placed to the side like it was with ghosts. Either way, I cant wait to see what this is. I will most definitely be checking it out. I love checking NIN.com every day!!!

I'd always pictured that he might perform again as Trent Reznor doing a stripped-down, unplugged thing. I suspect that the new material will be Nine Inch Nails, because I don't think that's been retired...yet. But yeah, I suppose it's always possible he could be working on a completely different project that could get released as Trent Reznor.

pask member Joined: 11/27/07 Posts: 2,380	i think the most tapeworm we're gonna get for the time being is passive & potions i'm pretty sure nine inch nails is still an active band, just not an active touring band. i'd wager musically trent will spend this year recording new songs, as nin & collaborating, and producing a few artist he's friends with. tours may happen in 2011.
