I'd pay good money to see that.

What about "Eclipse" by Pink Floyd? Maybe towards the end, right before HLAH to close the show.

All that you touch
All that you see
All that you taste
All you feel.
All that you love
All that you hate
All you distrust
All you save.
All that you give
All that you deal
All that you buy,
Beg, borrow or steal.
All you create
All you destroy
All that you do
All that you say.
All that you eat
And everyone you meet
All that you slight
And everyone you fight.
All that is now
All that is gone
All thats to come
And everything under the sun is in tune
But the sun is eclipsed by the moon.

There is no dark side of the moon really. matter of fact its all dark.

or a Velvet Underground song

03/17/09 3:43 AM

Anything by Bauhaus would be acceptable!

I doubt it (that cover was excellent), but I'd love to see Trent's take on it.

Knockin on Heavens door- Bob Dylan

Yeah, I think the Queen's cover was just Flawless, and Trent shouldn't waste his time.

The doors - people are strange

03/17/09 7:11 PM

Master and Servant - Depeche Mode

It seems the obvious choice.

Deeper though...

21st Century (Digital Boy) - Bad Religion

03/17/09 8:53 PM

"Pictures of You" - The Cure
"Welcome to the Jungle" - Guns N' Roses
"Rooster" - Alice in Chains
"Angie" - Rolling Stones
"Sunspots" - Nine Inch Nails

Excellent choice! I think "The End" it's one of the best/most powerful songs EVER written!

I think The Doors has a lot of songs that would make good covers, such as "Break on through" ..I usually dislike covers, but I think Scott Weiland did the best Doors one in history (so far!) on Break On Through
"The Crystal Ship" "Light My Fire" (Whatever Trent's voice would work best on) And if they did a cover on the last show for the tour, "When The Music's Over" would be the PERFECT song to play!

03/18/09 12:11 AM

I agree, any Doors song would be awesome. I would like to hear "Light my Fire"....even though it's more "cheerful" than some other Doors songs. Not to mention sounding like the Electrical Parade, but it would be so epic!!!!

Radiohead's "Paranoid Android." Or "National Anthem."

I think 'From the Edge of the Deep Green Sea' By The Cure would be great covered by NIN. My fave alltime Cure song for sure.

Love will tear us apart - Joy Division
Bittersweet Symphony - The Verve
Lust for Life - Iggy Pop
The Killing Moon - Echo and the Bunnymen
Homosapien - Pete Shelly

(I keep thinking of more after I hit submit)

Harder and Harder to Breathe by Maroon 5. A little payback for what they did to Closer, but Trent's version of "Harder" would sound REALLY smokin... kinda like Get Down, Make Love (but Queen was always cool).

Massive Attack's Inertia Creeps

03/19/09 3:03 PM

I have to agree with the Tori Amos and Tom waits suggestions. I would personally like to see a instrumental cover from one of "God is an Astronaut"'s songs or even one of Mogwai's songs in between performances of Ghosts. Some other artists i think he should cover are David Byrne, and some Rage Against the Machine.

I gotta say ix-nay on the Age-Ray, unless you're actually going to bring Tom Morello onstage for the solos. He's a monster. It's kind of funny: I went to a Chris Cornell solo show, and they did some Audioslave covers, and both of HIS backing guitarists working in tandem couldn't come close to the noise of Morello's solos.

NIN could have a field day with the effects at the end of National Anthem.
