The live sound has always been under the direction of Trent and the live versions still sound the same regardless who is playing them. But to answer your question, I would go with Robin Fink simply because he has a cool personality.

Though I also really like JMJ for some reason, I can't put my finger on what it is though. I think I like his backup vocals. Joined: 07/08/08 Posts: 1,694	I can't go with a favorite, because each one adds flavor the the live sound -- Robin: alright, so maybe if there was a favorite, it'd be a tie between him and Justin (as far as currents). When Robin returned to NIN it made my day; Justin: he made NIN live sound so fucking funky. To this day I can remember my reaction when they started playing God Given in Santiago, and I thought "goddamn, that bass line is kicking my ass!"; Alessandro: he rules big time, always making sure to play album parts as close to the sound as possible. However - and this is just me - but he didn't seem to be having as much towards the end of LITS. Or I may be talking out of my ass. Josh fucking Freese: enough said; Ilan: really helped keep things together for the 4 piece incarnation of the band. As for past members, Danny brought the hotness to the sound, and how can you go wrong with Charlie playing the theremin!?!? Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 06/29/2010 12:59PM by RodrigoD.
