FINALLY. Something to flesh out the nothingness of the latest round of filmmaking. CAN NOT WAIT FOR THIS!!! bound to reflect Trent's awesomeness, once more...and since I don't know much about David, I'll have to monitor his awesomeness now!

ps. pretty sure I could just take Trent's word about this David, though!

ROCK ON MR.REZNOR.
You ARE what the world needs now...

07/02/10 5:05 PM

I am excited and can't wait to see the movie but really I want to hear the music of course.I'm sure it will be the best part of it all.If that's what Trent wanted to do I'm sure he took as much time as he wanted to deliver a good soundtrack. So Trent I'll be waiting and also for whatever you have planned after that.I know it will be fucking great.

07/02/10 5:14 PM

Sweet! Its been a while since Trent has done a soundtrack. Fichner + Trent = very excited and happy me!

Plus, I've heard what a backstabbing prick the founder of facebook is, so this should be interesting.

Wow, I´m excited, finally...

Love the idea for the film, love fincher´s work, and a new record coming up. Thanks!

07/02/10 5:55 PM

Can't believe how few people have commented on this! This is potentially great - Fincher and Reznor - a match made in hell!

07/02/10 6:01 PM

This sounds cool. I will go see the movie, buy it on Blu-Ray, and get the soundtrack.

07/02/10 6:24 PM

Interesting....But does this mean there will be no HTDA LP?I guess we'll just have to wait and see..........

Awwwww..grins...this movie smells like drama already...holds a huge grin...i wouldn't really call that thing a trailer..it's more like a teaser, isn't it? worthwhile watching at least. I really like the idea of Mr. Reznor and his friend working on ost production...actually..i love that idea. Make sure the ost is released properly. I'm a sound track buyer and some are a hell to get. I hope it includes nude farm animals..you know...It's common on profile pictures...grins a lot

07/02/10 6:46 PM

What ever Trent wants to do I will not only love it but be there to support!! Can't wait until October!

07/02/10 7:03 PM

Trent's music is brilliant, and for Trent to be moving into writing new music for the purpose of telling a visual story is an exciting and awesome outlet for his creative genius. I am confident that his music will be as powerful as ever. I, for one, will be going to this movie to hear the music.

07/02/10 8:13 PM

meh, i dunno...ill have to see an actual trailer..imdb just has a few teasers...so far i think the film looks kinda weak. i mean imdb says that justin timberlake is in the cast for fuck sake

07/02/10 8:20 PM

NNNooooOooiiccceeEE!!!!

07/02/10 9:50 PM

I hate facebook, but I am interested to see this movie...and buy the soundtrack, of course!

07/03/10 12:41 AM

This film should be really cool to watch, absorb, digest and have discussions about. Without using fuck every second sentence lol. I like soundtracks, I have an extensive collection of them. Music is the soundtrack to my life. I wish I was a musician so I could express music echoing my thoughts and passions. You're a lucky man Trent. Keep up the good work. Don't forget to rest and not get bored by resting either.

Perhaps I'm missing something here...!. Why was Tony Hawk the chosen one to interview Trent? I see no conection to the interview or movie or music or anything...Mr. Hawk does Kevin Anderson's name ring a bell with you?..I'm sure it does. If not let me give a few hints why it should...My dear friend was at the forefront of surfing and pre-MTV's versions of skateboarding...Also the original choice of a main character the movie, 'Dogtown' until he was edited near the end as gang member..He would not have any association with those types, and with integrity broke away from any connection with the movie and money. Clearly you know his name and person, his intelligence, deep soul and heart would've proved an incredible interview..The issues Trent brought to the forefront are valid, well thought out and desevered more than a "wow, I'm in Trent's studio'..Something all fans like myself would love, but certainly more prepared with thought provoking questions, quick to question further if you didn't quite understand. It took about a year before Kevin showed me the huge stacks with him on the cover, along w/ stories. I was blown away at his and his late wife's humble to his noteriety...The is a reason, unknown to me why Trent chose you, but I respect that, along with his views on the music industry, which are known to most. Artist's should be paid for their work, work of any sort. I did sign onto twitter when I found out it was the vehicle by which Trent used. Three friends wanted me to sign on to facebook, I felt something 'dark' about the whole idea and did not.
Regarding the subject of the movie, 'Shred or die', what I read from Trent's view, altho I most certainly will see it on Oct. 1st, I see a dichotomy w/ twitter vs Trent and his wife now using facebook, yet adding his incredible music to the movie...Trent, should you ever want an interviewer who has a master's degree and quick mind, of course I'd love to meet your soft spoken words when interview, a drastic change from being on stage. My first concert Woodstock, 1994..I'd be more than privlaged, and I don't ask for any monitary crap...I'd love only one reason to subscibe to a new, another form of hacking to involve and put myself at risk, as facebook, also twitter which would only put my name at risk to simply discuss this new movie..Or did I read it wrong? NIN is the best, I'm beyond happy to see you'll continue much more of NIN's heartfelt and intelligent music. Altho I didn't subscribe to youtube, I've played the beautiful video 'Something I can never have (still)' Tears everytime. I thank you for all these years of non-stop concerts and music you've added to my life. tami/aka tammers ox

^^
tammers, the movie Trent is scoring is 'The Social Network' not 'shred or die' - I think that is just a Tony Hawk website.

07/03/10 2:10 AM

07/03/10 5:04 AM

Well, there you go, my question in the "If You Could Ask Trent Reznor One Question" thread has been answered... smiling smiley Will have to check this one out.

07/03/10 5:53 AM

Fuck yeah!!! x 2

This news fixed my fucking day, week even month...

Fucking great ... I cant wait for the movie and another one masterpiece from Trent Reznor.

07/03/10 6:55 AM

wow

another prpject ( and again with atticus) you are a busy little thing.

last year when you said that you were going to take a break from NIN and do other projects to be honest i thought soundtrack work was in the mix - but with david fincher i think what a combination. reminds me of the previous outing into film and the director involved - personlly i cant wait.

i really loved atticus;s soundtrack this year so this should be very interesting.

and im really into the 80's sound of HDTA

so as a fan of yours it does not matter what name you work under - its the quality of the music that is presented that i like.

ps so when are you going to have a breaK :p

07/03/10 8:32 AM

'...spend this year experimenting around with what would become How To Destroy Angels and some new NIN. Well, that plan didn't work out so well.' ????...

...What has happened with these two projects? I would still hope to see a second effort from HTDA.

As for Atticus and Trent developing music for movies??? This is what I'm talking about!

I still need to see Book of Eli. But, what Trent did with Seven and Man on Fire? Awesome!

I am so interested in the creative brains behind bands that give it a go at creating soundtracks for movies. Danny Elfman has made a great career of it. Another talent to be reckoned with is Jonny Greenwood. Have you seen There Will Be Blood? Awesome music in that one! I hope this will be the first of many movies that will have the musical genius of Atticus and Trent.

07/03/10 8:11 AM

Brillant, looking forward to this. More great music from TR & AR. Love HTDA's music. Glad your doing another soundtrack, i have the other one's you have worked on, so i know i will love this. A BIG THANK YOU!!!!"}

07/03/10 10:25 AM

Jesus efffin christ... Trent is a well oiled machine!! LOVE it. Keep goin baby!grinning smiley

07/03/10 5:55 PM
