Perhaps I'm missing something here...!. Why was Tony Hawk the chosen one to interview Trent? I see no conection to the interview or movie or music or anything...Mr. Hawk does Kevin Anderson's name ring a bell with you?..I'm sure it does. If not let me give a few hints why it should...My dear friend was at the forefront of surfing and pre-MTV's versions of skateboarding...Also the original choice of a main character the movie, 'Dogtown' until he was edited near the end as gang member..He would not have any association with those types, and with integrity broke away from any connection with the movie and money. Clearly you know his name and person, his intelligence, deep soul and heart would've proved an incredible interview..The issues Trent brought to the forefront are valid, well thought out and desevered more than a "wow, I'm in Trent's studio'..Something all fans like myself would love, but certainly more prepared with thought provoking questions, quick to question further if you didn't quite understand. It took about a year before Kevin showed me the huge stacks with him on the cover, along w/ stories. I was blown away at his and his late wife's humble to his noteriety...The is a reason, unknown to me why Trent chose you, but I respect that, along with his views on the music industry, which are known to most. Artist's should be paid for their work, work of any sort. I did sign onto twitter when I found out it was the vehicle by which Trent used. Three friends wanted me to sign on to facebook, I felt something 'dark' about the whole idea and did not.
Regarding the subject of the movie, 'Shred or die', what I read from Trent's view, altho I most certainly will see it on Oct. 1st, I see a dichotomy w/ twitter vs Trent and his wife now using facebook, yet adding his incredible music to the movie...Trent, should you ever want an interviewer who has a master's degree and quick mind, of course I'd love to meet your soft spoken words when interview, a drastic change from being on stage. My first concert Woodstock, 1994..I'd be more than privlaged, and I don't ask for any monitary crap...I'd love only one reason to subscibe to a new, another form of hacking to involve and put myself at risk, as facebook, also twitter which would only put my name at risk to simply discuss this new movie..Or did I read it wrong? NIN is the best, I'm beyond happy to see you'll continue much more of NIN's heartfelt and intelligent music. Altho I didn't subscribe to youtube, I've played the beautiful video 'Something I can never have (still)' Tears everytime. I thank you for all these years of non-stop concerts and music you've added to my life. tami/aka tammers ox
