Love it! I've been listening to the 5 track sampler non-stop! I got the digital download last night when I pre-ordered the blu-ray. Very yummy! I love the textures, and you guys took the cake with your cover of "In The Hall Of The Mountain King". Can't wait to see the opening of the movie tomorrow night. Keep up the good work, and, as always, THANK YOU!!!!

definitely stands alone... Great music

love the remix in "magnetic" especially

This is PHENOMENAL. I could NOT have asked for anything better. Oh I wish Trent could experience this album high, because it was a fucking ride.

As far as instrumentals go, I think this is Trent's finest work. I loved Ghosts, don't get me wrong, but this is just a seriously solid 19 tracks. I'm so excited for the movie I can't contain myself. Can't wait to see these tracks be put to a story.

09/29/10 5:59 PM

I don't know which is better. This or Ghost.

09/29/10 7:23 PM

I love how he used 35 Ghosts on the soundtrack. Track 3, A Familiar Taste. Familiar indeed. That was my favorite track off Ghosts. I liked to walk around listening to it pretending it was the soundtrack to my day. And also Magnetic is 14 Ghosts.

Get the soundtrack and watch the movie. I can't wait!

i bought Ghosts I-IV twice (once digitally and once for CD) and i will eventually buy this! my broke ass might have to find it in a torrent in the meantime though...

I feel like I'm listening to Ghosts v2.0

09/30/10 1:35 AM

Just bought it. Only mp3s I've bought this entire year. I've got to admit the Tour Samplers got me excited for the past two tours and the HTDA EP got me excited for what will be the HTDA album, and this soundtrack sampler got me excited for the soundtrack. I'm normally frugal/cheap, but Reznor just makes music that feels worth it, you know?

I pre-ordered the BluRay a couple of weeks ago, and got my download link the other day. I must have listened to it about 10 times since then. I'll go out on a limb and say it is hands down THE best electronic album I have ever heard. It is amazing. I am trying to get everyone to listen to it.

I've loved NIN since day one, right up to the most recent releases, but I have to admit I was a bit underwhelmed by The Slip, so I was really pleased when How To Destroy Angels turned out so great, but this is in another league. It is an incredible piece of work. I love it so much. It's simply the best thing I've heard all year.

The soundtrack is amazing. Put a halo on it. This is a stand alone cd in its own right

With Ghosts I found it great within the context of what it is. The huge volume of tracks and the different music styles slightly taking away some of the overall impact.

But

This is amazing on listening to it you know it something very special and it feels like trent(and co)are taking you very focused trip. Plus within all this its got that deep nine inch nails sound.

I want to watch the film now to see how this music fits in.

Note cannt wait for my cd to come but the mp3 while you wait is a good idea.

It won't get a Halo because it's not by NIN

Might as well be. Atticus and Trent have worked on every NIN album since With Teeth plus there's two reworked Ghosts tracks.

Just because NIN = Trent doesn't mean Trent = NIN. It's a very non-NIN style here, and imo shouldn't even be in the NIN section of the forum tongue sticking out smiley

I thought it sounded very NIN-style to be honest.

Lmfao gotta love the Ghosts "Remixes" of two of the songs.

Gotta say, Magnetic is better than the original.

I've barely gotten to listen to it, but I'm totally loving it. Shoulda gotten a Halo, but I guess the Quake OST didn't.

Best soundtrack Trent's done yet!

Just bought it. I'm gonna listen to it after I pay a visit to an old fwiend of mine tongue sticking out smiley

Now I think you guys are trolling me:
Quake also wasn't by NIN (although it was Reznor solo), and was never released ANYWAY

And none of the tracks have names.

*mumbles to self about details no one cares about*

Just got back from the film. It was a great story (even though I knew much of it before seeing the film) that was very well complemented by the awesome soundtrack smiling smiley Even Justin Timberlake wasn't bad.

It was refreshing to see Trent's name in the opening credits as well winking smiley
