I had my copy from Amazon in the mail, lurking somewhere between the door and the outside for a perfect steal...sounds truly fantastic as a remastered album

I really am looking forward as well to The Fragile smiling smiley anyone know when will that come around soon...?

I bought the one and only copy that my local Barnes and Noble had, and it took the clerk that was helping me like 15 minutes searching through boxes to find it lol. But it's totally worth it! So much better than the 2005 remaster!

2005 wasn't a remaster...

Picked up a copy yesterday, its brilliant on all levels.
I have the vinyl on pre-order and I am now extremely curious about THAT packaging....if the vinyl gatefold is done the same way as the cd ill be off my tits.

I have an old California Audio Labs Ikon MkII that I use as my cd transport into a Musical Fidelity V-DAC...so I was listening through through PHM for the first time yesterday and in the middle of Something I Can Never Have, the song starts to sound like it was destroying itself, like it was crumbling...slowly and digitally. After about 15 seconds the cd stopped completely. The new PHM murdered my transport...amazing!

This is my first time hearing Get Down, Make Love. I'm loving it.
You could've bought it from itunes etc before you know. I do find it odd when people like a band enough to join the forum, discuss and everything else but don't look up their catalogue

I knew of Get Down, Make Love, but I had never heard a studio version of it. I don't like buying songs on itunes so I never really got around to getting it until now.

Anyone know if/when it will be available in Australia?

We USUALLY get releases that are US Tuesday-dated on the Friday before in Australia.

HOWEVER,

I couldn't find it anywhere on the weekend and the noobs in most stores I went to didn't know what the fuck I was talking about.

And they wonder why online sales are KILLING their shelves.

Noobs.

Do you by any chance live in or near Sydney? If you do, try Utopia Records, they're bound to have it. That's where I get most of my NIN stuff from. They have a website www.utopia.com.au

Queenslander.

Will call the appropriate iimport stores tomorrow!
Otherwise might do a mail order with Utopia.
Gracias.

Look at your hand. Move it to the left of your keyboard. Do you see the button marked "Caps Lock"? Press it.

Also, if you want to hear it in the UK, it's on Spotify now

This remaster is amazing - it is really making me rethink some of my 3 out of 5 ratings on some of the songs (Sanctified and Ringfinger sound like new songs to me)

11/25/10 1:08 PM

^^^^^^^ I agree. For example I've never really liked "That's What I Get," but on this remastered album its amazing and I'd give it a 7 or 8!

11/25/10 1:15 PM

Got it at the local music store for 2 cents less than at Best Buy: 7.97!

Worth the wait.

11/25/10 7:32 PM

Amazon.com will deliver to you. It's up to your local retailers to decide to stock it or not though

11/26/10 9:26 AM

The PHM site is awesome, can't wait to get my hands on a physical copy on Monday!!!

11/26/10 9:37 AM

i thank you for giving me a reason to get drunk and smoke weed again while listening to an AMAZING!!!! remastered PHM

11/26/10 6:33 PM

My wife says she's getting it for me for Christmas...I guess I'll have to wait until then.sad smiley

11/26/10 10:05 PM

got my copy of the remaster today. couldn't wait, not after seeing the photo of the physical CD packaging... my copy's skipping for some reason, though. hopefully it's just my computer being bad at multitasking and not the CD being defective, because i shredded my receipt earlier sad smiley...

update: CD's fine. EAC was being weird. CDex ripped it without error and XMPlay played the disc without crashing, yay! thoroughly enjoying this, no question!

Honestly I didn't think I would be picking this up because I have an original PHM from way back. After comparing it against the tracks posted on the PHM site it makes my 89' CD sound like my NIN mix tape I made for my car back in 1995 thats been played 1,000 times over in the last 15 years...grainy and shitty.

(not that anything nails has ever been shitty of course, just a comparison before you all rip my head off, LOL)

11/26/10 11:44 PM

just got it in the mail, sounds great as I expected,Thaaaank yoooooou trent!!

11/27/10 11:30 AM

I have just recieved mine in the mail yesterday and I am very pleased with it!

I may buy the vinyl but I don't think I should, I have two P.H.M. albums already.

If it's two discs, I won't that's rediculous but if it's one disc I think I will.

Thank you Trent for making the PHM remaster something amazing! The art and package is simply fantastic! I look forward to your next NIN and HTDA releases. Take care!

The exact same thing happened to my car CD player in the exact same spot. It read 'MECCAN ERROR' and got jammed. What's up with that?

11/28/10 10:42 AM

This audio is top notch! Love it!

11/28/10 12:47 PM

Hi people,

I bought the new PHM cd this Friday in the city of Breda , The Netherlands. Love it, really, it is a great renewed sonic experience as promise by Trent. Sad to read it is available in The USA for 7,99 dollars as I paid 19 euro's. Is everything more epensive over here?; health care, pension fund, et cetera?

Yes. I believe it is. I've never been to Europe but my favorite band is Rammstein so I've ordered very many items from RammsteinShop over a few years and it is rediculously expensive! Sometimes $400.00! For so little, I think it's a high U.S. tariff and the difference between the dollar and euro and a few more but I know the moderators on here are very strict so I shouldn't get too far off topic. Anyways, yes I'm afraid things are more expensive in Europe. I don't know for a fact but it may be because your government wants to help out too many people. Which is a good thing you pay into the system and when you need help you get it, unlike here it costs alot of money! -Trey

My UK per-order landed on Saturday morning two days before the UK release date. It's fair to say I was pretty happy about that!!!
I blasted it out in my car and was really impressed with the difference in sound quality from the original, the packaging is also really cool.

THANKS!!!

Is it too early to request a remastered version of The Fragile?

Nope, cause Trent mentioned it a year ago himself.
But the masterpiece deserves a Super Masterclass re-issue with some extra lost songs.

Count me in on that one!

I can't tell you how long I dragged Halo 8 and Halo 10 around in my Portable CD Player too, those are also classic NIN. It's amazing how much they vary yet I like them both so much! (The Fragile and The Downward Spiral)

Feed me the vinyl....
