The score is fantastic but it would be interesting to know if had it been the same music in some forgettable film would it have won? The music really added to the feel of it and the film already got a lot of attention in the mainstream with Fincher directing and people like J. Timberlake involved. Thats why I say to everyone Trents music didnt change it just took the right project to finally be noticed for his genius talent! Congrats to both guys!

I say no. The Book of Eli soundtrack, written by half of the people who wrote TSN's one, and very excellent, got almost no recognition, despite getting a nomination at the world soundtrack awards. Probably because the soundtrack was much, much better than the film.

XD I've not seen "The King's Speech" yet, but I felt like if Fincher got robbed. :/ "The Social Network" and "Black Swan" and their directors deserved to win, even Nolan and his "Inception" ("True Grit" was also a very good film, but the Coens already won a few years ago). In a few years everybody will think about "TSN" or "Black Swan" or "Inception" when they remember the best movies from this year, and nobody will understand how "TSN" and Fincher didn't win. But well, at least Trent and Atticus won. .... so watch the king's speech. the direction in it shat all over the social network
