I guess that people have finally rediscovered its awesomeness after hating on it for being played at nearly every show from 1994 through 2008 and being the most frequently played NIN song (and one of the very few) on the radio.

And at least Trent changed the live version unlike Head Like a Hole which I personally think was more overplayed at concerts, so I never felt that way about Closer

As Worzel said, we never hear NIN on the radio or ever see Trent or the gang on TV. What's wrong with Closer, it's a perfect expression of sexuality in so many ways including, tension, frustration desire, and the knowledge that such a thing can destroy you and drive you fucking crazy! There's more to it than that but I'm tired. Here's to closer and floating video Trent!

fleighing member Joined: 04/29/08 Posts: 1,356	^^nothing is wrong with closer. not at all. but here in the US fraternity boys stole the song away from us fans. as in they showed up at shows, bought gallons of beer, got drunk, talked obnoxiously through most songs while shouting repeatedly for the fuck you like an animal song, and then thrashed around when it was finally played and sprayed the rest of us with either beer or vomit. kinda diminished our love for the song, because we started hoping it wouldn't get played as sometimes these boys would lose patience and just leave the floor halfway through a show.
