I got a kick last night teaching one of my friends friends about Marilyn Manson and
Nine Inch Nails. The NIN Gave Up music video was recorded at the Sharon Tate house, right?

and Trent Reznor has the front doors off the Sharon Tate house on his house, right?

plus Marilyn Manson's, Get Your Gunn video was filmed in that same house of the murders?

plus Trent Reznor produced and made a bad ass remix on that single, Mother Inferior Got
Her Gunn! 'I get everything I want when I get part of you.' (ringfinger 1989) -TreyS

Glad you're listening to lots of NIN, I like to redose every couple months.

The whole "Tate thingy" is well known and I don't think there's anything cool about it, it's just a detail, focus on the music.

So all that stuff is true? So I wasn't full of bullshit? Cool!

No, it's nothing to do with Jesus, Trent said he liked the way it sounded. Even as a young man the fucker was full of style, as the name has been proven to be a pretty strong and meaningful one.
There was, however, in his early songs, a lot of angst over religion and Christianity (or at least the followers and their interpretation of their religion), but that was a product of his worldview.
As you can tell, his newer songs (thankfully) deal with more mature themes.

I received an email saying that I could download a 6-track sampler, but when I go to either of the links, I can't find any music to be downloaded. Am I just an idiot? Can someone point me in the right direction?

That doesn't work either, I tried it a billion times. After putting your email into the top right box, you get no mail with the links!

Try using a different browser, I've heard people have issues with Internet Explorer (as usual). Also, if it really won't work, all the tracks are on youtube, as it's only meant to be a sampler after all

Saw the movie today, thought it was great. Was a bit disappointed to hear some of my favourite tracks not included in the film, but the selection chosen was still great. I was particularly glad to hear Aphelion used so heavily.

I know "A Thousand Details" wasn't used. Although I did get a kick hearing Martin say something like "There are a thousand details to keep track of."

I haven't seen the movie but I thought With The Flies was in a particular scene.

A Thousand Details is by far my favorite, it makes me feel as though I'm struggling to break free of something. It's a powerful track.
