gee, my lack of senses must be making me confused the merriam-webster dictionary defines xenophobia as fear and hatred of strangers or foreigners or of anything that is strange or foreign. what i read in this thread are friends gently ribbing other friends, as in we know each other (so its not strange or foreign) and we like each other (so its not fear or hatred).

Minus the whole their island being sunk by godly wrath thing. Middle Earth is certainly a European analog and the areas to the East are reminiscent of the middle east and asia. The Akallabêth is basically his take on the fall of Atlantis or a retelling of Lyonesse, which was a British island that sank in Arthurian times.

I might have to skip this round out, as it's quite clear "A Drowning" is up next, and that's the ONLY HTDA song I like. I can't stand that band at all, but that song is awesome.

I actually already pre made my list of what to vote off in order since day 1, and There are 16 songs I would rather vote off. But Nothing I choose will have anyone all of a sudden jump on the bandwagon and start voting to beat this out, as A drowning is too far along, it's basically gone.

A drowning has 4 now, and there is nothing else that has 2 or more that would be a worthy competitor.

Well, the top 2 songs that I cannot stand for the life of me remaining on this list would NEVER in a million years be voted off this early (unfortunately).

So instead of wasting my vote each time on these, I just tend to vote strategically based on the worst one that has been mentioned...

But for the curious (I am about to get hated) but the 2 songs that are left that I cannot stand are:

Actually I'm all about the Closer to God mix. Fuck the album mix. I do love the Nightclubbing lift tho. I do love RWIB, but know it isn't everyone's cup of tea. You like what you like.

Xcore, the rules don't ban changing votes. That's the whole point of having convincing arguments. Especially since I know there are some folk here who are really torn and have to just pick sort of randomly. If it leads to less tie rounds, I'm all in favor.

I mean, even before I edited the rules, it still said "please don't", not "you will be banned for making edits!". Cuz a) that's really unenforceable and b) would mean I would have to be a huge cock to people and let's face it, we don't have enough people voting in these damn elections as it is.

Vote however makes you happy people. Just make sure you are voting for songs that are still on the list

Weirdly enough Man Burning, I like HTDA but A Drowning is probably my least favourite song along with Fur-lined.
