and now for some random thoughts on songs I wrote out:

Dead Souls -- The Crow, Joy Division cover, nuff said. Ultimate Reznor? No- but a damned good sound regardless.

And All That Could Have Been – Wistful and contemplative, but the end gets that inimitable anguished scream treatment.
Burn – NBK soundtrack, a wall of sound that hits like a ocean wave across the ears, momentum, fitting message for the movie. It’s like the Hulk during a bee sting…but way…cooler than that. Yeah.

Head Down – Love the soft/harsh contrast in this song. Underrated song on this album. It's like 2 different Trent's in 1 song battling for control!
Echoplex – So! Damnably! Catchy! And also so true, so true, so true.
Demon Seed – A bad-ass concept that’s well placed at the end of this album. There is a sound in there that I personally equate with the sound a skateboard wheel makes when spinning after a big Ollie in that song, and it is sweet. The "yeah yeah yeah" lyrics aren't my favorite but otherwise the song is dope. "I will use my voice / And I will use my fist / To destroy / Everything I can" --see? d.o.p.e, I can't really argue with that rebel awesomeness.

Right Where It Belongs -- An introspective song, love the way the ending ratchets up the volume near the end. Pretty and also has potentially life changing lyrics.
All The Love In The World – Why indeed do some people get all the love? A very good question but for some reason the bassline and drums can annoy me. Still, a good once in a while song.

demon seed is NIN's dance party usa 2008. not that THAT is a horrible thing

this thing inside me, it screams the loudest sound...and it makes me think murderous thoughts (about DTE and yet another power outage for no reason other than the privilege of living in detroit)

Could be interesting. I know when Discipline was released and we got the multitracks to play with I had a version I made where I took the quiet whispering section and had 2 or 3 of them staggered. Occasionally they nearly overlapped. Was very cool. Not to mention I flipped the piano sample and used that as the basis for the entire song. heh

As far as multiple cds for a song, look into [en.wikipedia.org] I have teh discs and I've done it a few times. At the time, I used my PS1 thru my TV, my computer, my stereo and a boombox.
