My girlfriend's just finally landed a job after growing increasingly downbeat with each passing day of unemployment, it can be very tough out there if you're left in the lurch. Burn. Mainly to save Ruiner, amusingly given the previous post. It is a song I've grown pretty tired of, though - back in the day, whenever Burn's epic guitar sections kicked in I couldn't resist thrashing my hair around uncontrollably (many a rear speaker stand has been knocked over in the throes of Burn mania). Nowadays, the thrill's dulled somewhat, and the rest of the song doesn't have enough substance to keep it a favourite for me.

Yeah I test software and I've been drastically underpaid all of the nearly 4 years I've been doing it. The last 2 years I've been keeping an eye out and trying to get interviews and I actually interviewed w/this bank last year, but it was for a slightly more advanced testing spot so I didn't get it then. I have just been having to look at things as I was building my resume and extending my years of experience so that eventually someone would bite heh. Burn I prefer Ruiner to Burn, but I do really like Burn a lot. This is a save a track vote, b/c my next vote will probably piss a lot of people off too Edited 1 time(s). It makes my top 3 for With Teeth, and isn't among the many songs which are virtually equal in my near-future axing priority. In my opinion it's an enormously evocative and moving song in the choruses and finale, and the rest of the song has a certain gritty funkiness to it. Also has a bit of that crazy-freight-train vibe I love in one of my very favourite tracks, Underneath It All. It's perfect for that point in the album, it builds up a shitload of momentum heading into the final tracks. I'd put it on a par with Ruiner, but would probably be inclined to vote off the cock song first purely because there's so much TDS up here.
