fleighing member Joined: 04/29/08 Posts: 1,356	manburning, YES, i liked your post. i got in on the NIN ground floor, starting with halo 1 and seeing them live 4 times in 1990. both TDS and TF hold special places in my heart, and i think the ultimate reznor should and will come down to these 2 masterpieces. we warred over which of these 2 were the best album a while back, and we are obviously heading towards blood being shed soon. and i agree TDS is LOUD, but to me so is TF. at least my favorite bits we need to trim some TDS fat, people! It was a very "play it safe rock n roll" record. He wasn't sure if he was relevant anymore, after being out of the music scene for so long, so he came up with a rather generic rock n roll record to play it safe. He didn't do alot of experimenting on it. At the time, I thought it was amazing - But I think that's only because I missed his music so much so hearing ANYTHING from him at that point in time was amazing, no matter what it was. Compared to what came out later (Year Zero, The Slip and even to a lesser degree Ghosts) I can safely go back and say "ya know, With_Teeth isn't that good of a record, there are a few amazing songs on it (Sunspots, all the love in the world, TLBTB ) But overall, I'm kinda bored of the songs on there. Couldn't have said it better me-self. Right Where it Belongs Anyone else notice that the fragile is especiially prone to Mp3 nerfing?
