That does sound like an interesting idea for a new album. Although I believe Trent often has Rob Sheridan do his artwork. There's really no way of knowing what his methods will be unless we hear from him. For a new album I think it would be awesome if Trent got Martin Atkins on drums. Hes a great industrial drummer with his own unique style.

He hasn't worked with Atkins since, what, Pigface's Suck?

Yes I believe so. I think it would be cool to hear what they could create.

NIN isn't people working together though, NIN is people doing what Trent says (which is why most people left NIN in the early days).

I'm sorry, but if you've spent months/years of your life creating a piece of art, there's no way any random fan is going to be able to conjur up the right feelings/moods/emotions that went with the album. There's a reason why he works with those that he does.

Interesting idea though.

I never would have guessed a person seeing a massive arm reaching into the hills while they are driving on the road as an album cover for NIN.

This is how it may go down in the future... [CLICK TO VIEW]

I quite enjoy the symbols, images, artwork & design TR had come up with over the years. I have a lot of respect for Rob Sheridan too.

I'd love it if he requested fans submit random audio, not singing, but random sounds that mean something to them to incorporate an audio collage of sorts as a track, in a way like PILGRIMAGE or HYPERPOWER!, or maybe entwining them subtly into the music as he did with hidden things in the YEAR ZERO album...
