i hadn't noticed this before, because i've never liked the remix until now. i actually think his remix sounds more fitting for Lost Highway than the original, especially the "take me with you" section. the section that follows it reminds me of late 90's David Bowie industrial/jungle/drum 'n' bass experimentation, and wouldn't have sounded out of place on a record like Earthling. still, i'll take the Plug and Spacetime Continuum remixes ahead of the others every time.

you know, even though TR seemed to use that as means of disliking the song, i really think it's a testament to his ability as a composer. to write and program that beast in so short a time seems insane to me.
VigilX posted:The melancholic outro at the end of the song is built around the same chords as the chorus... it's just slower and it uses broken chords (similar to what he did in "We're in this Together"
you mean arpeggios, yes? they're also in a lower octave, and i like them more that way
VigilX posted:Do you guys like the original ending he used for the LH soundtrack where the song abruptly stops or the version on H.15 where it fades out?
i've always, always preferred the fade out. the way the strings stop with the vocal and it's just the drums and piano fading out, it's so lovely and empty. i think it suits the song better, from my outsider perspective.
