Wow, that's sad and wonderful at the same time I think. The fact that Trent was so painfully honest is great, you don't really get that from many musicians nowadays, at least not with the same confidence and vigor as is in that message.
It is sad but all nice things must come to an end, but that's what memories and (hopefully eventual) DVDs are for! To think back on a time in our lives when fans felt an energy that could never be replaced.
Sadly I'm not much of a concert person so I've never seen him live; maybe some day in the future I'll break out of my shell and go to a concert and hopefully he'll still be in as fine a form as ever.
Either way, fans rejoice! Rejoice through pictures, stories, ticket stubs, and the like.
NIN/Trent Reznor fans are special in our own way: energetic and passionate commitment to great music and production and living life in general; let us never forget that.
