HOLY FUCKING SHIT.

Don't let those bastards beat you. It's fucking hard to maintain integrity and do what you need to do in the face of this opposition, but that's what makes you different to the rest of them.

Keep up the good work, because it's your work, and it needs to be out there.

I don't know what else to say.

12/03/08 7:30 PM

I hope this isn't final... that would be a sad day for music...

I don't think i correctly understand about the filming though... does this mean there won't be a dvd/blu-ray, or no theatrical release? It isn't exactly clear...

I wouldn't mind a smaller scale production of shows... It would leave more room for a more diverse set list selection. I understand ticket sales are nowhere near where they should be, compared to other pop artists, and even metallica and ac/dc shouldn't be selling out arenas before NIN. It's disappointing to see a half filled arena when so much effort goes into production but the people that come out to see you are most appreciative for not only the great show, but also the 20 years of amazing music you have taken your place in history with... All i can say is being alive to watch NIN evolve to what it has become is an incredible experience and i have to thank the one and only Trent Reznor for that... I was only fortunate enough to see NIN 4 times but those four times were the 4 best shows of my life... hands down. And hopefully i'll be able to add a couple more to that number.

On behalf of all your most grateful fans i'd like to extend a token of appreciation... thank you Trent Reznor for the music, the shows, the extended efforts and dedication, but most of all thank you for the inspiration and motivation to make this world a more tolerable place.

12/03/08 7:31 PM

Can we stop?
Me I'm not...

12/03/08 6:31 PM

I'm totally crushed. You taught me survivalism, how to be happy in slavery, and most importantly how to get closer to God. I will always respect your decisions as an artist. You are an incredible person. Thanks for the memorable performances.

12/03/08 6:32 PM

let's wait till we hear something else.....

Bitterness, Frustration and Pride is the tone in Trent's message...

I'll be in Vegas this Saturday, having his words in the back of my mind, will make it even a wilder show!!

It is going to be goodbye to a very familiar experience/feelings without knowing whether it is coming your way ever again.

THANK YOU TRENT for all you do for us and the continuous battle with Nitwits in the Industry!

12/03/08 6:33 PM

what are you all crying about? "will likely be the last for the foreseeable future." was in reference to touring, not the end of NIN. anyone who would think that not being able to do a DVD would end the band has to be an idiot.

12/03/08 6:33 PM

What do you mean this is the last?????!!!!!

FUCK!

I was 6 months too young to go see this tour, and knowing that i wont see something as supposedly great as this one was is so fucking disappointing. Trent, please do something as great as this again! I am not saying do it next year, the year after that, or the year after that! Sometime in my life I do want to see a great NIN show. please dont let me down!

12/03/08 6:33 PM

Come on, man...

This is really bad news. Since the tour ad release I thought you were filming it and was avid for buying it.

Just one thing: you have to make 2009 tour another World Tour. I mean, if this might be our trully last chance to watch a NIN show, please give us all the opportinity to be a part of it.

One last thing: Please don't do that pop band shit when they break up of having 15 last shows. I mean, if you are stopping the NIN project because you are pursuing other things that's fine. Sad, but fine. But if you are planning 15 different reunions and lasts shows, that's just crap. Don't keep us holding our breath.

Trent, we wish you all the luck in the world. You've moved many of us. You've changed so many lifes. Keep on going. Explore. Challenge. Learn. Create. And at the end, smile.

12/03/08 6:33 PM

oh trent *sniffle* don't leave us now. i've always told people your show is fuckin AWESOME!! i took two newcomers to the last show i went to this fall. you always have such great ideas that i'm sure we never even get to experience (tapeworm, an album w/ zach de la rocha) if its any consolation, in a parallel universe, it worked out beautifully and i was in the front row not getting crushed or beaten. I LOVE YOU, MAN!!!!! don't ever change *big, fat, wet, sloppy kisses*

12/03/08 7:33 PM

Maybe you should start taking donations if help is needed in funding such a project...

12/03/08 6:35 PM

wow, what a thing to hear... it makes me short of breath

your music means so much to us, all the emotions we've gone through with it.

i saw you twice this leg of the tour, in St Louis and Columbia, and i tell you what, i have never seen such a show. you're goddamned right it was the best.

what do they say? all good things must come to an end

even if you don't tour again like you did this time, please don't stop making your music

if you don't stop, i won't either..... nothing can stop you now

-one more thing-

i'd like to burn that "said record company" to the ground

your fan since PHM ~martin

12/03/08 6:36 PM

Wait. Did TR just reference Kanye West twice in what, 10 days?
THAT is the apocalypse.

12/03/08 6:36 PM

Trent, your my favorite artist. I have been listening to you since as long as i can remember......Your music is a emotional, physical, and psychological release for me. Words can not describe. Its been the 'sound track of my life'
Im hoping you understand what you mean to us, the fans. Your music has been a savior for so many of us.. Please never forget that..

don't give up on what has not only brought us joy but joy for you too.

i only heard about the show you did in the texas on your first trip here this tour, two and half hours of pure awesome, awesome shouldnt be the word to describe your hard work and determination, there would have to be a whole new word for it.

if i have had the funds and transportation to go see any show i would, even i were way in the back.

Just knowing you were in my state made me excited, still sad i couldnt go.
then i learned of your second arrival and i was shocked you'd visit twice.

from myself and for my co-workers that enjoy your works of masterful art....thank you and keep on rockin

12/03/08 6:37 PM

sad smileyconfused smileyThat brought tears to my eyes...
I feel so lucky I got to see NIN twice this tour. This was the first tour I was able to experience and now it might be my last? Verrrry sad.
Anyway, job well done. It was the most amazing show I've ever seen. I hope you still find a way to release a DVD? I would pay any amount of money. There are so many awesome memories tied to the shows I saw, I would just love to see have them captured.

Wow, painful. We could have had 3D. This is what happens when you play by the rules. Somebody needs to figure out where to send the hit man.
I saw the show in STL and Columbia, and I feel so damn lucky. The Columbia show was my 20th.
Trent & Co., take a long vacation and enjoy life a little. We'll follow you around when we are all using walkers.

12/03/08 6:37 PM

Wow I am really kicking myself for not seeing these shows, but some finacial problems came up right when I was supposed to go to Lollapallooza.

Sucks about the 3d movie too, wow that would of been amazing. Thank you for being honest TR and telling us why it didn't happen. thumbs up

To some of us, as pathetic as it sounds, the tour is our crutch. The live shows are my crutch, at least.

Trent, don't let them get you down... DVD or not, you'll always have the support of your fans. Fuck, if you just went on stage in a tiny club with just you and a piano, people would still come out. I'd be there front in center, I'd wait in line at 6 am like I did for Toledo, and I wouldn't regret a thing.

Just to clarify, I'm not telling the man to tour non-stop. He deserves more than anyone some time to relax, but he just sounds so discouraged...

Holy fucking shit.

I'm very thankful that I had a chance to see the show when it began and that in four more days I will be seeing it again. I hope some of the show gets properly captured and released in some manner even if it seems inferior to what it could have been. It's no lie when Trent states how great a show it it. Anyone who has seen the Lights in the Sky tour would have to be batshit crazy to say otherwise. I'm one sad panda for those who missed the show.

12/03/08 6:39 PM

Man, I really cant believe what I just read. Ive been lucky enough to see them twice this tour and once at the With Teeth Tour. All I can say is I dont think I could go the rest of my life NOT ever seeing them live again! Just went Im old enough to fund my own road trips, and have opportunities this is so unreal. Ive been listening to NIN for the last 15 yrs, and all I can say is his music has taught me how to feel. I refuse to listen to any thing else expect Trents music. He seems to be the only one out there singing what is real.

But, if this is the end, Im am very happy I was able to be apart of the Dallas show and the Tulsa show. I got to see 1 show from the 1st and second leg. So that is something special to me! His show was so emotional, and beautiful for me that the thought of never seeing it again, well is just heart breaking.

I appreciate Trent and his band for all that was, and for all that could have been.

12/03/08 6:40 PM

Holy... Really, I don't want to make myself sound stupid or theatrical, but I can't help feeling like shit right now.

Just to second this notion...

Trent Reznor=Nine Inch Nails....the band is not breaking up. He IS the band in case some of you have forgotten.

There will be more NIN to come. Didn't he take a 6 year break fairly recently?

12/03/08 7:41 PM

ninnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn,
nin rules forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
even w/out mega-tour,3d blueray dvd, etc

12/03/08 6:41 PM

Trent- know that your fans will support you in whatever you do.
Quote this if you agree.

12/03/08 6:42 PM

thanks for visiting lexington kentucky on the tour most bands just skip us by. I've seen too many bands to remember live and i can without a doubt say the lex ky show blew my fucking brains out. Best show I've ever seen. Thanks for everything Trent.

12/03/08 6:42 PM

Trent! This was the first NIN show that I was finally able to make it to (rescheduled date and all!), and it was, without exaggeration, fucking mind-blowing. I can NOT believe how much effort was put into it. And I admire that, after all this time you've been making music and performing, you still give a shit.

"Last for the forseeable future" is very very saddening to me. I would kill to see you perform again. Visuals or not. sad smiley

But, nonetheless, thank you for this tour and for everything everything everything. It is astounding the effort you put forth, and I can't thank you enough.

End cheesefest.

12/03/08 6:42 PM

the idea of never seeing NIN again makes me so sad - it makes me so grateful to have caught 8 LITS shows - these shows were hands down the most ambitious and technically amazing shows I've ever seen. May I suggest going back to club tours - you guys don't need all the lights and screens. Now I'm really fucking jealous of Australia - if only this was last year when I was there.
