I agree that it is demeaning that people use your music in such a terrible manor. You draw in a smart and open minded crowd of people. The stuff you create is a very creative, interesting, new, different, intellectually stimulating, unique, I could go on forever but unfortunately rock is such an accessible form of music that it also draws in a very unwanted dumb/oppositional crowd of people who misuse/misunderstand your work. Hopefully things change very soon. It reminds me of the time people used Sarah Mclachlan's song "Angel" on the Columbine shooting training videos without her permission.
I have a conservative friend who liked your song "Capital G" because he thought it was a pro Bush song. It was his favorite song off of that album.
