Good year for the band, amazing tour!

12/19/08 8:49 PM

Thanks so much for the wicked show. It was my second time seeing you live, and it was amazing once again.
It was great to have you come over to Victoria this time instead of Vancouver. I hope you enjoyed your ferry trip and had a nice stay on this little rock we call home.
It may just be a rock, but it's a pretty nice one...

Grazie for providing such delight to this audience through 2008 many, many times over! My teen son was so excited tonight to give me his Christmas gift to me he couldn't wait any longer for me to open--a much older NIN CD/DVD combo.smiling bouncing smiley He knew I would love it (and himself as well--what a bonus!) I will treasure it forever! We watched/listened tonight and what amazing growth, creativity, insight, etc. etc. musically and so very much more from then to now...Merry Kissmas, Happy Hollydays! winking smiley

Possibly the gift could be tour dates for next year?!

12/19/08 10:11 PM

I will be getting my passport!!

12/19/08 10:32 PM

Trent, LITS was the best since the JRC/MM/NIN 1994 shows, but i have loved each tour. This one just had a depth to it that is hard to describe. Never before have i been so moved and so aurally satiated at a show - not even at Pink Floyd!!! Thank you to everyone who made this tour such an amazing event. i look very forward to the next one smiling smiley

Last but not least the next dates should be as amazing as the last ones.
Can't wait to see you in Paris!
Whatever this "surprise" is you make our days so unique when we listen to your music!
See you soon

there was a video posted yesterday on apple.... for mainstage...and it has NIN...that's not it is it? has anyone else seen this? For some reason the video won't play for me....

We watched it this morning (Saturday, 20th December). It's basically an advertisement for Mainstage which seems to be a new Apple product. Trent and Alessandro are both speaking about it, and it's intercut with some live footage from the just-finished tour, snippets from Head Like A Hole, Survivalism, and a couple of other songs. Worth having a look at, if you can.

I'm just hoping the format of the show doesn't change that much. Would be pretty sh1tty is Europe and the rest of the world didn't get to see the lights in the sky tour.

The LIGHTS IN THE SKY era has come to a close, and I'd like to once again thank you for your support. I am very proud of what we pulled off - it was an immense amount of work and worth it all.I'd like to thank Josh and Alessandro for being an integral part of this for the last few years and I wish them all the best.No rest for the wicked here, though. We start rehearsing the new band/format first thing next year and as I mentioned, we'll be announcing some final waves of dates. North America, UK/Europe, Pacific Rim and elsewhere.Oh yeah - we may have a small holiday gift for you soon. Check back.

I already posted about how much I LOVED the shows I saw- so, just wanted to say- a Trentrific gift- can't wait!!! Merry Christmas all! winking smiley

Gentleman, you've outdone yourselves! And in the process treated all of us to one of the most awe-inspiring and sickest spectacles in musical history. How do you do it!? Time and time again, tour and tour again, each progressively better than the last!

What would life be like if there was no NIN to keep us going? So guys, take a much needed and deserved break, enjoy time with friends and family over the holidays and come back and hit it hard in '09! You know we'll wait and you know we'll be there to support you for as long as you'll let us.

Trent, you're all the Gift we need... but a LITS DVD wouldn't hurt! Then my friends and family can see what I've been talking about NON-STOP since we saw you in Seattle and PortlanD! Thanks for another incredible run of creative artistry, hard work and a totally kick-ass tour! Much love!!

Is it a Christmas card with a picture of Trent wearing that tight, long-sleeved red shirt? Flipping us off? That would take center stage on the mantel...

Just an idea - maybe Reznor could release a Blu-ray (non-3D) DVD and release 250,000 copies. This will save him money and guarantee the diehards will have a copy. I know I placed my order for The Slip as soon as I heard word.
