Maybe it could have worked better on Broken, but on Fragile it seems like a song they just had to throw in there to keep the moshpit-people happy. The Only Time - synth sounds give me a headache. Not the most interesting song really. No real sexual value for me either...never got an erection while listening to this, ha. Getting Smaller - if I liked Foo Fighters, I'd buy their records.

athrax member Joined: 01/16/08 Location: PA Posts: 15	I am going to agree with just about everyone else who said that Closer is overplayed, but I dig some of the remixes - like the one from "Se7en" that I always forget the "official" name of. Head Like A Hole could be considered a "classic," but come on: It is overplayed almost as much as Closer, and can sound almost as obnoxious because of that. As far as I am concerned, the "shining" tracks on Pretty Hate Machine that I could listen to without getting tired of them over time are Sin, Terrible Lie, and Ringfinger (even though Twist is so much better...) Deep, I can take or leave. Same with Down In It, Getting Smaller, and You Know What You Are. Entire album-wise, I like The Slip more than With Teeth right now... and I more or less forgot about Year Zero, so I don't remember if I dislike any of those songs.

I used to hate the whole year zero album but that all changed when I saw them live like 3 times. Seeing them play year zero stuff made the whole album seem godly. But even "The Warning" live sounds... so...eeh irritating sometimes.

I can't think of a single NIN song (from the main releases, not remix albums) that I don't enjoy in some way. There are some from PHM that I'm not particularly fond of, but even then I don't consider them to be bad.

Not too keen on 'That's What I Get' though. it's a pity, because Trent can be a great lyricist (Hurt, Non Entity, Right Where It Belongs). Yet some of his stuff (YZ, and some of WT in particular) just have blatantly bad or downright silly lyrics! I still love the music though.
