I'm listening to "The Day The World Went Away" on And All That Should Have Been and getting teary eyed with the thought of no NIN

Excitement and disappointment and a whole lotta other feelings are coming over me...I don't know what to think or what to say...but I will go to as many shows as possible and cherish every opportunity I can to see NIN.

i wish trent would came and say it is only for a time... i am almost sure it is going to be for a time but i still ...it could be forever D:

Well Trent from your biggest Kiwi NIN fan, your certainly deserve a break. If this hiatus is for you to take a different direction and start something new, I am all for it. Please however don't say never again for NIN.
I cant wait to see you tonight and the band live at Vector Arena. 9 years I have been waiting, I am sure its going to be EPIX.
btw Year zero, although most people dont get it, is your greatest work ever!.

i hope he comes back someday, he has been in my life for 15 years and im excited to share his beauty with the baby i am expecting in july. im very sad that i may never to get to see trent in my life. he is always in my prayers.

I hope I get to see them one more time.

I can't believe that this day has come, I don't want to believe it really.

No words to describe how it makes me feel really. I sad with joy and anger that I had the opportunity to see them live but don't want to imagine a music industry without NIN.

It's certainly a sad day.

I can see how they guys need a break, we can only imagine how tiring touring must be. I truly hope that they make it back to Salt Lake one final time. This obviously is a CAN'T miss concert. I wish the guys all the luck in the world, and as we all watch these men step off stage, I'm with everyone else in wishing that it isn't forever.

I don't know what he means by "disappear for a while" and I am left kinda shaken by the update, but I'm not going to freak the hell out yet. I'm going to try very hard to make it to at least one show and see what happens after that (at least a couple of So. Cal. shows would be lovely - that way I'd have a backup if I couldn't make it to one, haha).

Trent, i'm extremely grateful for the past 20 years you've decided to do your thing and bless us with 27 badass halos. Thank you personally for rocking out Oklahoma City the past 3 years. My first show of yours was the May 23rd Dallas show of the Fragility 2.0 tour. Starfuckers, inc. is, still to this day, the loudest fucking thing i've EVER heard. i was on the grass in General Admission in the back of the starplex amp. Starfuckers began and it split right through my ears. I sat down on the ground and tried to soften the noise by putting my hands over my ears. Useless. Loud, long and fucking badass. I had a headache for the entire 2.5 hours back to OKC. To this day, nothing has compared for the last 9 years. The other 3 were a little later in my life. Second was the first show for With Teeth in Dallas. Of course, BADASS. I came back to OKC after the show that night and got on nin.com. What did i see to my pleasure? NIN was coming to Oklahoma City! For the first time in forever!! I'm sure you remember it. Around here, we refer to it as Beside You in Time. Uh, thanks forever for doing that here. That was the third. The last one was August 15 for the LITS tour. A fucking brilliant show. All the screens and Ghosts...it's one of the most amazing shows i've ever seen. Thank you thank you thank you.


Your music has been part of all our lives for a long time, and will continue to be. I love you for everything you've done. I'm grateful for the head-splitting shows over the last 10 years, as well as ALL of the music. I look forward to seeing you for a last time this year. I look forward to what you will do in the future. As for us NIN fans, we're not going anywhere. We're all over the US anxiously awaiting the upcoming, badass tour. and us in Oklahoma? we're thinking Ford Center again! We will be there. We will be there...ON HANDS AND KNEES!!!!!!!!
