I'm excited. THANK YOU TRENT! And I hope I am not still in Japan when you come to my area.

02/16/09 4:25 PM

So to counter balance the not-5 year wait between the last few albums, we'll probably have a good 15-year wait 'til the next? jk.

crazy.

02/16/09 4:25 PM

oh gods if only!!!

we are here btw, make your calls we've been waiting for too long!!!http://www.southplainschurchofchrist.org/Missions/Puerto-Rico/puerto-rico-map.jpg

Trent. I cant wait to be able to see you again. the shows i was able to attend were amazing. the last Atlantic City show was a stripped down show and it was maybe the best show i have ever seen. so i am looking forward to what you and the crew bring to us in the 09 tour..
20 years. WOW!! that is incredible.
well you have made a huge impact on my life and many others.
your music has carried me thru some harsh times in my life........

thank you for all you have given
and all that will come..

Randy.

Wow! Well I'm happy he's feeling good and seems to be at peace about everything (and it would be insanely cool to see NIN/Jane's Addiction tour). I am bummed out about "make NIN disappear for awhile" part. To me NIN disappeared quite a bit before now - I was kind of getting used to NIN "appearing" regularly. I'm glad I haven't listened to The Slip yet because I had a bad feeling something like this was going to happen...

In light of the fact that NIN = Trent Reznor 24/7 for the last 20 years (whether any music or tours came out or not in a given time frame)I can totally understand that he would be tired of it. I just hope that he stays on the track he's on now and doesn't lose focus on his creativity and/or sobriety.

Lots of Love,
Julia

the only thing keeping me from going nuts is "for a while."

02/16/09 5:26 PM

If this tour is coming near me, I'm there, and so is Husband!

Trent truly does deserve a break as he's been practically non-stop since 2004. But past of me also feels like this statement is echoing what he said in 2006 when the amphitheater tour was almost over. I've only seen NIN live twice but both shows are forever burned into my brain.

02/16/09 4:26 PM

Doubly stoked I'll be at the auckland gig tonight. Thanks for coming back to NZ before your sabbatical.

02/16/09 4:26 PM

just glad i got to listen to you for all those years, thnx, good luck, can't wait to catch one of those shows!

02/16/09 4:26 PM

please, don't forget brazil this time! We deserve one more chance to see nine inch nails !!!!

02/16/09 4:27 PM

Jesus, Trent. Please, I'm begging you, don't "disappear." No matter what happens, we ALWAYS support you. I mean...are we talking one of the five-years-without-a-record type disappearrance? Or on a larger type scale? Whatever it is, it seems fucking scary, and please don't disappear. We support you with anything; separating from record labels, going on your own, giving away your music, anything. The last thing we want to happen is for NIN to end, or disappear, or whatever it is you're talking about. I know I will DEFINITELY TRY to attend one of the North American tour dates. I REALLY, HONESTLY, TRULY, SINCERELY don't want NIN to end and I'm guessing that I'm not alone on this one. We tend to freak out when you say stuff like this, and we are now. We take it seriously, and we are always in hopes you don't mean it. PLEASE DON'T BE SERIOUS ABOUT "DISAPPEARING!" We love NIN, and we want it to keep on going.

Trent, I disagree.

I disagree too.

i'm all cried out from the last goodbye so i wish you well and hope you will enjoy your life and take it easy. i'll definitely see this show and will always be a loyal fan.

*hugs*

Take a two year break, then get your ass back in the recording studio. I started with NIN during the With_Teeth era, and I now have every major album and remix album from Pretty hate machine all the way to The Slip. Trent, your music is the best i have heard, and i have recommended it to friends of mine who listened to that Mainstream Garbage, now they listen to NIN and other Artists of the like. I for one totally understand a short break to cool off, but man, seriously, you better not quit, you will be letting a lot of us down. Thats my two cents. Thanks for the wild ride, and hope it keeps going!

02/16/09 4:28 PM

Wow, what a shock!!

Trent, whatever you decide to do in the future, be true to yourself and all the very best. I hope to "wave good-bye" to you at one of your shows, if not at a couple of them!

Keep rocking and take care
All the best with the 2009 tour.
Love Linda x

All of us have reasons for truly loving this band.

For me, it was a way of dealing with the frustrations of my day to day life. I made it through the complete obliteration of a marriage by truly recognizing each songs on the Downward Spiral as layers of loss and adjustment a person goes through when a relationship is nuked. Same with With Teeth and Fragile.

I let my tensions and angers go with Broken. My hate and disgust with my country and it's politics with Year Zero after losing a job.

Every time I have found myself in a point of crisis in my life, I have found myself turning to NIN. My IPOD or MP3 player or CD's running white hot, allowing me to emotionally stabilize myself through Trent.

When I posted Trent provided me with the soundtrack of my generations, I should have also included my lifetime.

I hope he truly has an understanding of how he has moved so many thousands of peoples lives by giving of himself so openly in his music.

02/16/09 4:28 PM

Trent, please never wave good bye

So, is there a new Jane“s Addiction record on the horizon? Do we have any chance of watching NIN on tour in Spain this year? Will year zero pt2 be ever recorded? This note brings more questions than it states something... which could be good... eventually.

Unfortunately it hasn't been 20 years of great music for me. I can't imagine listening to PHM at 4 years old... However for the few that I've been listening to NIN regularly, it's been very fulfilling. The upcoming Hordern show will be only the second NIN show I will have attended. Eyes will be wide and I'll be taking as much in as I can.

Thank you, Trent!

02/16/09 5:30 PM

Hope you guys play close to home...like Santa Cruz maybe...San Jose?

02/16/09 4:31 PM

Trent's spoiled us lately. He needs a break.
He just needs to come back from the break, because I'm terribly selfish and demand his music. sad smiley

You best bet I will be at show(s) close to me. MN, please. Also WI and IL work too. winking smiley

02/16/09 4:31 PM

trent reznor is nin, and although nin will be coming to a close (hopefully only for a short time) trent reznor is not and hopefully will still give us great music via something else

02/16/09 5:31 PM

wat? no! i dont like this idea at all!, there better b an ireland date in there, coz i dont want to have to go to england to see them, and i will... but like wat about

year zero part 2?
and the future volumes of Ghosts
and the TV seris

no, not happy

02/16/09 4:31 PM

WHAT!!!??????

WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN GOODBYE?! YOU MEAN FOREVER???????????

This makes me so fucking sad............. jesus...................

Trent, if you are reading, if you need a break for a year or even a few, I think we can all live. But this cant be forever. The world of music, and all of us, your fans, the people who turn to your music for whatever reason, need that to continue.

As a young person (16), I cannot imagine a world without the great stuff you do.

please dont make this be forever.

I hope to see you again very soon Mr. Reznor.

THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!
You have an inspiration to all of us.
Honesty in music will NOT die!

My friend and I take a girls' trip every year. This year, our destination hinges solely on tour dates. I can't wait to see where we go and the fun we have.
