greenhedonist posted:NOPE! Let me start with this: Jane's was an AMAZING band. That said, the band sounds slower & tired in comparison to the blinding power from the late 80's JA. This song is performed in a different key... presumably because Perry's voice is shot. I'm not feeling it.
By all mean's tour & have fun. I'm sure a gazillion people will come see & have a great time, but I think I'd rather remember Jane's as they were than as they are.
sorry all.
I hate to break this to you but NIN doesn't sound the same as they did back in the day either. The sound is not as raw, Trent's voice is not as fierce, and guys like Chris Vrenna, James Woolley, Jerome Dillon, Richard Patrick, and Danny Lohner are distant memories. Does that mean NIN isn't worth seeing anymore? Hell no.
Bands change over time. Sometimes and in some ways for the better, and sometimes for the worst. If you don't like the changes, so be it. However, please don't act like Jane's sounding different is unique to them or that NIN hasn't changed as well.
