Film looks shit. Good trailer though with amazing music. Love the drums in the end.

Noice.

Someone has uploaded the audio and music from the trailer

to be honest, Yes the trailer was fucking amazing, NIN+End of the World=epic
Im a lil bit skeptical that the movie on a whole will be any good
case and point ...the watchmen. The movie trailer looked fucking great...all i got was 2 1/2 hours of blue penis.

Well, I'm a fan of the terminator series from the beginning. The trailer/the musical touch is awesome. God willing, I'll be able to see this installation. I'm happy too, now that I'm familiar with nine inch nails to see the music used in other avenues. I also enjoy watching Christian Bale - 3:10 Yuma, Batman Series, and the twisted American Psycho. This is another movie, I'll have to see.

03/14/09 2:34 PM

I've been looking forward to this for a while now...

03/14/09 5:16 PM

WOW.

I can't wait to see this now.

That is probably the most bad ass movie trailer I've ever seen. I was already looking forward to T4 but the NIN usage made me cream. At least the $8.50 I spent to see Watchmen wasn't a total waste.

By the way, I thought Watchmen was terrible. ...and yeah, I understood it. It wasn't too complex for me (or any of the other explanations fanboys use to explain why people didn't like it). It was just old-fashioned boring. Anyone who wants to try to defend it, start out by defending the sex scene set to the entire track length of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah."

It's fine if people liked it, different strokes I guess, but I can't stand the people who are offended and/or insult people who didn't like it. What's funny is Watchmen fans often portend that they are well-read because they understand the graphic novel in detail, but this simply demonstrates that they haven't read any real books.

This is the remix drums version.

I made a trailer remix (too).
I hope that Mr. Reznor would like it (too).

It can be listen on remix.nin.com:

Am I the first one to realize that the drums in the trailer remix are pretty much identical to the ones in "Corona Radiata"?

like everyone here, i was pretty blown away by the trailer, and the way it used one of my all-time favorite NIN songs.

however, i'm extremely skeptical that the director of the Charlie's Angels francise, who prefers to be known professionally as "McG", can deliver a complete film with the sense of loss, vastness, and desolate beauty that the song lends the trailer.

i'll still be there opening weekend, but i'm expecting a cool action flick, nothing more. if it has even an ounce of subtlety to it, i'll be pleasantly surprised.

they've both got quite a thumpy bass drum, but are otherwise unrelated. they don't repeat the same beat or have the same snare sound, nor does the trailer have the weird delay and filter effects in CR.

Yeah... that is right. I just listened to "Corona Radiata" and the drums reminded me of the drums from the trailer. I guess I imagined they sound alike?

Wait... is that The Day The World Went Away, in the t-4 trailer, not Corona Radiata?
or is that a different trailer

great version. the low bass really gives it a nice extra kick. somehow you've added more epicness to one of the most epic songs around.

Thank YOU very much!
I'm happy that you think/heard so. winking smiley
I wanted to make this great song to sounds more epic... as (or more) epic as the Terminator film/world.

I'm ready with the "video version" of my remix. With the original trailer sounds better, I think. :p

Watch and listen it on Youtube:

I actually like Zene's better.

ALSO: There is a Terminator soundtrack coming out, where it's RUMORED, that the NIN remix will be featured on the soundtrack.

Soundtrack is by Danny Elfman (wasn't he boot?)

wow, badass trailer, the only thing that sucks about his movie is that gay assed pg-13 rating...why god why...best way to ruin a dramatic action flip is with a pg-13 rating. Now the most vulgar language we hear out of Bale won't be on the movie, but him cursing that fucking dp on that audio recording...

I could understand it being a bad move, if they had to compromise on the violence for the rating. But if it received a PG-13 rating because of the lack of course language, I don't see anything wrong with that. After a certain point, there can be too much bad lango; after that point it seems to detract from the feeling of the movie in my opinion.

05/04/09 12:17 PM

during the hockey games, the movie ads were put on a ton, I saw like two or three different ones, kept ear out for any NIN on the tv ads, alas...no.

05/04/09 12:49 PM

i keep hearing there's a new teaser/trailer that uses The New Flesh. can anyone verify? anyone have a link?

05/04/09 1:13 PM

Haha, I saw it, and for maybe 2.5 seconds I was like 'wtf year zero?!'

Then the terminator shit came on. Seems pretty interesting, might have to check it out.

Well heres how I recall this. Terminator 1- rated R, terminator 2 rated R, Terminator 3 rated R, Terminator Salvation rated ...pg-13...

It's an R rated concept and an R rated enviroment with consequences of eliminating the human race... Yeah I really think lack of vulgarity would only take away from the realism. I'm not saying anyone has to throw an F bomb down every three seconds but this is a war movie for christs sake... Theres no need to tone anything down, whats the point of holding back on violence yet spending out the ass on visual effects?

I'm going to see this film regardless, but it's just sad to see a movie become compromised from an original vision to sell a few more tickets to some annoying kids in the theater, thus making my movie experience worse.
