Saw you this winter at the DCU center in MA, had a blast.

03/14/09 12:24 PM

wow $100+ tickets??
way to stick it to the corporate recording industry, show 'em how it should be done, huh?

i guess we should expect $40 t-shirts too?
i didn't realize that this was a Britney Spears tour.

anyway, Atlanta tickets go on pre-sale on Wednesday, it looks like it's only for those who have a citibank credit card though. does anyone know any details about this?

oh and of course i'm still buying tickets, time to just bend over and take it, one last time

the tickets are going on sale this Tuesday?!! great. more problems.
and how much are they going for?

The ones for Kansas started at like $59.00 up to $150

Their fees were horrible, 21.00 per ticket. It made each of our tickets 171.00. Kick ass seats though. This is the only band I'd pay this much to see.

I plan to go to the concert in Vegas on May 18th,2009, I've never been to a NIN concert; this will be the first time I've ever seen Mr. Trent Reznor in concert. He's irresistably, so intense. I would like to see for myself Trent Reznor perform his music; and feel his music & what all the exitment is about. He is a musical vertuoso. His, voice, lyrics, & music are sharp and clear; he has the ability to penetrate your mind with the intensity of a high powered laser beam. His eyes alone can do the same. This will be completely an experience.

STALKER
YET AGAIN ANOTHER TRENT REZNOR STALKER, THAT WOULD BE PEARLWISE.

ok.. anyone that can help me would be greatly apprecaited. i've been a huge fan (as most of us have) since i came home from being in Italy for 6 years in the early ninties (at 15). Talk about a culture shock. Being a military brat i was a bit sheltered when it came to anything that wasn't on the top 40, with the exception of country music, Led Zeplin, christan rock (not my parents influence i swear..kinda oxymoronic though),classical (latin, german and italian i sang it all) early rap still wasn't satisfied till i heard the first cords of "head like a hole" (went through 12 tapes, 3 dozen cd's .. you get my drift) blah blah blah... (moving on i swear...) This will be my first concert. Been waiting for budget, time and not traveling so damn much to really be able to see anything worth a damn. I'm planning on going to the Merriweather Post Pavilion venue. what would be the best seating/row for the best overall experience? i know im a damn noob for not seeing them before now, life gets in the way of dreams at times. any help would be awsome

i notice ALL the dates for europe are festivals. i thought trent hated festivals. 50'000 people between us, most of whom, lets face it, probably dont really know who he is? i thought hed want to go out with a bang, not a whimper.....

There are options to Ticketmaster and Tickets.com. The public needs to realize that up to one half of all of the service fees charged are rebated back to the venue and and the promoter. All of the per order fee goes to Ticketmaster. However, UNTIL THE BANDS take any interest in how their tickets are being distributed NOTHING will change. Stop playing in venues that gouge the customer with service fees. It would not take much of putting your money where your mouth is to make a change. Brown Paper Ticket sold over a million tickets last year through out the USA with a service fee of $.99 per ticket and 2.5 % of the face value (to cover the cc discount fee). This is to mail tickets or have them at Will Call with ID required. Tickets can be ordered through the internet or over the phone 24/7 in real time. They are a Not Just For Profit company that believes in live music.

can't believe it, the last time I saw NIN was on the first lollapalooza tour at the toronto date, with jane's addiction, hehe. can't wait til austin!

03/16/09 11:21 AM

Hey Trent,

at first i wanna thank you for regular news'. But i've a question about the upcoming tour in Europe. Do you plan any non-festival concerts in Germany? I wish !! I think one could be enough, if you don't have much time. Best option would be Berlin i think. Alternative or additional you could give a concert in Prag (Praha, Czech Republic). In 2007 I remember, there was the best show of NIN i've ever seen in the Icehockey-stadium. I hope you have enough time to answer my question. Thank you.

Sincere regards

german fan

very intresting thanks for the heads up on this problem.Myself i have spend the last 18 years of my life working in the entertament industry as a lighting tec.ive been lucky that i have never had to pay for shows..Anyway back to the issue I think the only way around this problem would be for all artist to hit smaller venues.I live in a town where livenation(clearchannel) owns everything .Apart from the barfly and the students union and other small venues to many to name,a couple of years ago american head charge did just this yes they make less money but then they have less to pay out.The only other way i see this problem been nipped in the butt is to do all tickets as pre-sales band takes total ownership of all sales, but this would cause problems as the venue problems as they always like to have the guest list as a band like yourselfs everyone is after a free meal ticket.
me myself i cannot i would never go to a big outdoor show, yes its great to see your fav band but then i always thought you never got the true show as there are always limts and end show times etc.never a fully set.
nin is and will be the only ever band i would pay to go and see in a venue like brixton or anywhere in the uk and wales (would be nice to see you play cardiff hint) and i wish you guys luck on your euro tour but for me sad to say i will not be attending.as i cannot do festivals at all tickets cost to much and when i want to see a artist there the onlys one i want to see.
thats my veiw anyway.
And i have only crossed paths with yourself 1 time big day out in adelaide side of stage watching Primal Scream it was you and sweeny if i remmber correctly and yes i was there working.enjoy
and thanks for all you have done
cheers
