The rarest NIN song you can possibly attain is " Sex Dwarf ". That the live version of course only audio available. Check out the live performance of it on YouTube.

Wrong. If we're going by original NIN content, them Now I'm Nothing is the rarest.

The Hand That Feeds (DFA Remix Instrumental) 9:01
The Hand That Feeds (DFA Version I) 14:13
The Hand That Feeds (DFA Version II) 13:59

...those took me forever to track down...

Bear, thanks for pointing those out. I've forgot about those.

But for older ORIGNINAL NIN material Scott Pawsey is right about " Now Im Nothing".

I'd still say the rarest song by TR that you can hear though is "Sex Dwarf".

yep... the only recording that I know of for that is from the Closure DVD.

Most of the stuff on this bootleg are hard to find too... or at least took me a little time to hunt down:

also some of the "Only" remixes:

Ok, this is definitely going under nin rarity... if it's true. About 10 years ago, I was downloading some music, and found a rendition of The Legend of Zelda theme, supposedly played by NIN. Not too sure if I have it anymore, I might have it somewhere. So if it's true, than it is a rarity, albeit not NIN-material.

04/22/09 5:34 PM

I don't Know but.......I said Purest Feeling Because I don't hear it too often and It hasn't been played recently live + haven't heard it live
so its pretty rare to me....heh

04/22/09 8:39 PM

I know it's not NIN, but just what is the story behind Trent's vocals on "Black Bomb (Jerry in the Bag)" by Josh Wink? I've always enjoyed that song.

I'm gonna say anything that Trent has performed that is actually a NIN song (original material), that only ended up being "strictly live" and is not on any commercial studio album to date.

Basically, anything that doesn't technically have a studio (non-live) version created. And never made it onto any NIN album (or soundtrack).

1 - Now I'm Nothing
2 - Non-Entity
3 - Not So Pretty Now

The rarest being "Now I'm Nothing".

The other 2 had rehearsal cut versions recently released which are quite close to studio tracks, but are not the actual original studio cuts of the tracks which never made it onto any studio albums (which are the rare - unreleased versions).

So they're still technically "live only" tracks, because their rehearsal versions are for the purpose of rehearsing them for live shows. Once the original studio cuts are released, NSPN and NE will no longer be rare.

And slightly off-topic here...but didn't Trent say we'd be getting the soundboard multi-tracks of those rehearsal cuts (mentioned above - NSPN/NE) in a few weeks...a few weeks ago?! It's almost been a month now! WHERE ARE THEY?! Lmfao, i'm almost fiending to mess with Non-Entity. Seriously...hurry Trent, hurry! Lulz.

Now I'm Nothing
Sex Dwarf
ummm...what about Maybe just Once.
Home seems to be somewhat rare.
Am I right? tongue sticking out smiley

edit: Black bomb is an awesome song, I read that Josh Wink asked Trent to do it and Trent agreed. Then Josh sent some music to Trent via web and Trent finished it off. I'm a fan of Wink to. smiling smiley Don't laugh was always fun.

I'm not sure if it's the "rarest" track, but it's one that I still can't find:

The INSTRUMENTAL version of his remix of Victory by Puff Daddy and B.I.G..

I particularly would want this one because without Puffy and B.I.G., it's essentially a NIN track.

The Not So Pretty Now and Non-Entity recordings that Trent released in March WERE STUDIO RECORDINGS! Trent confirmed it.

is this even a fucking NIN song...i heard it before and it aint trent singing...whats the deal with that?

"Angel" is NOT a NIN song.

some idiot labelled it wrong in his media plyer and its been a diseas transmitted over many p2p networks ever since.

ad for the record 'angel' (whoever its by) is a really really fucking shit song

It's not THAT bad. And it's by Vinyl Sun.

For the record I hope nobody thought I really thought Angel was by NIN

"Just Do It"

If I had to venture a serious guess, it would probably be something from Bleeding Through (With Teeth). As I recall, there was something leaked that I never did end up hearing, but he changed up the album and some comment about someone getting fired over it.

05/03/09 9:44 PM

how about "appendage" the remix/extetion of "please". It was only on the cassette tape version of The Fragile. Who has tapes anymore. Trent should put this on the remix site.

05/04/09 1:24 AM

This isn't exactly nin material, but all the remixes of David Bowie's "I'm Afraid of Americans" seem to be somewhat difficult to find.

Glad I got the CD when I did.

Well I had luck then, because I found them pretty fast...

But I also can say that I'm a really big NIN fanatic. I mean, I've got 1432 NIN songs on my iTunes...That includes every song said in this thread (exept the never really released ones)...

He did a super mario theme remix too, and he plays banjo in it.

Has Nine Inch Nails done any work for video games?
Trent did the Quake 1 sound design and soundtrack. That's all that's been done. Trent cancelled the Doom 3 project very early on in development. An illegal and frowned upon soundpack featuring his work (taken from a leaked alpha) was available on the internet. Nine Inch Nails did NOT re-make the theme song for The Legend Of Zelda. Closer To Mario was done by that bastard, Meathead. (Thanks Tony.)

O_o No fucking way! Trent is the only musician I know who knows so much about technology. You think he'd have or create something that people can't get through. lol! You'd have to be some sort of (most wanted) super hacker to get through that computer! xD

Ahh....only on WITT singles and bootlegs but I'd rather search for WITT singles if I really wanted it. p2p networks are practically the only way The New Flesh that is real and sounds good.
