Great news! Look forward to seeing all the footage from the US tour. I'm gonna take a time out on holding out for the same in the UK shows and just enjoy them.

But count on a photo pass request when you come back from the hiatus! I'll have Rolling Stone or something behind me by then winking smiley

You seem to be a man of very much for the fans... It is a great way to look at it.

I have a question... I am South African and have been a fan of yours since I was 10 years old. I was wondering if you would ever consider doing a small tour in South Africa? Nothing fancy of course, the fan base here is not as large as in your home country of course, but there are thousands of us that would love to witness one of your live performances.

Just a thought.

Jasyn...

I've been waiting to hear about this! I'm glad you were able to pull this off. I'm going to be at the Chicago show with a Canon HV30, Rode VideoMic, and a Canon wide angle lens. Here's hoping I can get some good audio with it!

Once again, from a film student, thanks!

Yo Trent, thanks for the policy update. Can't wait to see you guys at The Gorge, by far the best venue in Washington State. Thanks for constant touring these past years.

Thanks.

05/04/09 6:05 AM

EH, I've never seemed to have a problem with cameras of any kind at concerts =/.

It's great that trent fucking trys tho

05/04/09 10:32 AM

Cool but I would rather watch the concert and just take in all of the memories, because every time that I have brought a camera to a concert ( in the past ) I seem to be too distracted fucking around to get the best shots and lighting.

I am happy for anyone else who would really benefit from all of this...

I think the effort to create a better and more personal experience for fans is refreshing (and part of what we love about you Trent) but I have to say that a part of me is in agreement with Sufimarie. I have been to 5 shows in the past 2 tours and I am usually about 8 people back from the rail and almost ALWAYS stuck behind some guy who is recording on his iphone.. Wouldnt you rather put down the phone and jump around a little and enjoy yourself than stand still and focus on recording the song? What if you were able to have someone video each concert (wouldn't have to be high-tech) and post it for everyone to access? I am not bashing a good idea, just anticipating the scene when I go to Charlotte in 39 days and hoping that a relaxed policy doesnt fill the pit with a bunch of air-breathing tripods..
