Chicago! Yay! Thank you Trent!

Does anyone actually LIKE the Palladium venue? Im just curious. I mean, its small and all and I CERTAINLY will try getting tickets - but I saw many shows there through the 90s.
Skinny Puppy (2 times), Ministry/KMFDM, Bauhaus reunion, The Damned etc etc. All GREAT shows but there are things I remember from every show.

1. it was like 130 degrees in there - literally people passing out at Skinny Puppy
and not for theatrics.
2. i couldnt SEE much of anything when its crowded.
3. ahhh it was rediculously hot and I couldnt see.

They just renovated it. I literally work a block down Sunset from there. Someone here has seen a show there since renovation and said it still pretty much sucks.
Whatever - it has history and its cool that its a stones throw away from my job and FREE PARKING!!

Im just curious if anyone actually likes this place?

I was just thinking yesterday how anticlimactic the NIN/JA show @ The Gorge was. Don't get me wrong, I loved the show but I kept thinking it would be a lot cooler if it wasn't a festival setlist.

i know all u lucky US fans are all cheering and high fiving but 2 hear the great man saying he'll be rushing through the short set that i've paid a small fortune to be standing in at one of the all time worst venues (MEN Manchester) is piss poor. i'd pay 2 see them play a single bloody song, but 2 rush a set 4 JA??? Don't think "i know i've got a few convictions but i really need 2 see NIN 1 more time without jane's fuking addiction..." is gonna wash with the US embassey 4 a visa!

i hope the "offer" for vfest was a confirmation that NIN are playing!

i wasn't going to go this year cos' the bill so far sucked but if NIN are there....so am i!

Well NIN are playing after JA over here, so it won't be quite as rushed - methinks Trent was essentially just referencing the prior NA shows.

exactly. and also i think he was really trying to convey that opening is not their normal slot, so to not have 2+ hours was constricting. if you've ever seen them, you would know TR puts his all into every show.

Ohhh man, I wish there was a date for Montreal. You people are very lucky =)
