This isn't catering to fans, it's catering to those without monetary priorities, with OCD, or without responsibilities.
Trent, I've spent between $1000-1500 to see you 8 times these last 4 years (including a Spiral-exclusive show across the country only to hear the same setlist you'd been playing for months). That now you decide to do play some different, interesting shows that only alienate the vast majority of your fanbase is really, just fucking annoying.
I'm not a fucking sheep, and like most, I don't get a kick out of spending $50-100 to see the same show you've brought over and over.
Even a year ago, I probably would've dropped $500+ on ticket, round trip, and hotel no problem. But the combo of NINJA and this is just really makes me not care, at least beyond an anonymous post on this board.
Have fun in "retirement" and enjoy all your ticket revenue.
