Everyone needs to quit complaning that they aren't coming to a town near you. I'm sure we all wished we could go to a show that we couldn't be a part of at one point or another. Unless you have money enough to travel and see the band of your choice, then stop wasting time by crying about it. I've missed out on lots of shows that i couln't be a part of due to money....welcome to the real world!
Thankfully, Trent & Co. have decided to grace us with additional shows and we all should be happy for that.
It sucks for everyone that can't go,.... hell, i may not even be able to get tickets due to demand and i live a few hours away from LA....BUT, it's still exciting to have the opportunity to see them one last time.
If you have a bunch of negative crap to spew, and can't find anything possitive about these upcoming shows, spew your crap someplace else and let the rest of us enjoy the opportunity to see our favorite guys one last time.

But you can't ever stop...

These should be cool, unusual and unique shows and I hope you come out - this is it.

maybe someone already pointed this out, but I'm not going to pour thru the pages of 'YAY's and 'come to my hometown trent!'s to find out. so I'll just point out what glared at me reading the post.

um.......................really?

........... 'this is it'?

I'm pretty sure this is just the end of touring. Everybody in artwork needs objectivity away from their work environment and day after day of the same thing isn't good for a creative process you might want to get back into. It's the difference between a broader perspective, and being pissed off at the microphone guy that didn't get something right, writing a song about it, and other detailed annoyances. So all of that is completely understandable, but it would be cool if Trent brought up some of his future plans. I guess there may still be a future HBO series at some point based on Year Zero, other projects floating around that could either be definite or still in it's birth stage (and like someone said earlier, probably literally making some babies). Updates on those type of things would be cool.

Oh SHIT YEAH!!!

NYC, Boston, doesn't matter, I'm there

07/08/09 8:28 PM

hmmm...stupid question? multiple shows at each venue? just wondering.

07/08/09 8:29 PM

thank you. I enjoyed both NINJA shows I went to hear, but it was your tour, Trent. I even understood the "under-card" / "over-card" thought to the tour and truly appreciated the open recording policy. You are right to feel artistically selfish. "I deserve more."

For what it's worth, NIN is my psychedelic (sp?) band and look foward to another "experience" or two in Los Angeles.

Oh please Trent! Work on the V-Fest in (actually outside of) Toronto in a town called Orillia. It's up north about 1 hour from Toronto in what we call here cottage country.
Is there some way that members can get an email-update from nin.com when the deal is done so we Toronto/Canadian fans can get tickets? Around August 29-30 is Labour Day weekend and it would make for a memorable close to summer. I came to the Molson Amphitheatre and had such a rotten view and sound quality, I left rather depressed because I've been unemployed (printing industry hit hard by the recession) and couldn't buy a better seat sooner. Last minute desperate purchase just so I could be in a seat! Having you and the boys come back and do things without timing restrictions would make for a memorable year - something I desperately need right now. (sob story).
Love you.
Karen
vfest is a festival so there won't be a 'deal' from nin.com. if you want early bird tix, register at [www.virginfestival.ca]. it won't sell out anyways, so don't worry.

Sweet! This time I'm going to stand in the back so I don't miss a moment of what's on stage. I kept getting shoved in the crowd at the last show.

07/08/09 9:16 PM

oh yeah... i won't be going to any other gigs because my cash will be allocated these gigs

07/08/09 9:36 PM

This is why it pays to be a corporate climbing whore. I'm gonna go to all three NYC shows, by hook or by crook as grannie used to say.

07/08/09 9:38 PM

Asshole, Trent Reznor. Come and play in my house. For just me and my friends. Whenever the fuck I feel like it. And come up with new songs just for me. Fucker.

Seriously, though:

People bitching: sucks.
Requesting cities: why not?

He said it himself, perhaps more.

Maybe I'll be able to catch a show in NYC. That would be wicked. I have a feeling it's going to be a secretive "HEY YOU TICKETS NOW" kind of thing, which means it's complete luck of the draw, and that sucks. NIN fans should get a fair chance to see one of the shows. I'd love to see all of them, but that would be selfish. Fuck you assholes for saying "I'm going to go to more than one." Where's your respect for your fellow fans?

07/08/09 9:39 PM

Take care of your loyal fans please. We have been with you for 20 years.

My brain doesn't know how to comprehend a thought as awesome as Cortini and Clouser mixed together.

Wow.

I'm all over any of those NYC shows

07/08/09 10:06 PM

these questions have been biting me for a long time. i cant ask trent in a direct way. he probably wont notice, but maybe someone else knows, somehow. ill ask it as though i were asking trent however. Trent-do you know or have a friendship/rivalry with Maynard Keenan of tool? Have you ever done any projects with him?, and do you think you ever would?

07/08/09 10:08 PM

Man all day at work I kept on thinking about how awesome the shows in August are going to be. NYC is going to be bonkers. I am going to try to gun for two of the dates. to all the fans who get a chance to go have fun its going to be good.

I'm not sure if you're kidding or not (and anyway, it's the wrong place to ask this question; it would be better in Random NIN question) but it's such a weird question that maybe you're really living in Middle Earth.

Ever heard of Tapeworm? Just google it. And it's dead, by the way.

edit: try "tapeworm trent reznor" for better search results and to avoid the creepy crawlers.

i happen to live in LA and Im probably gonna try to go to every show, i saw them twice on the ninja tour and i couldn't believe its their last tour and janes addiction was the headliner, I mean it was the NINja tour, not the JAnin tour

07/08/09 10:30 PM

There is a light that never goes out, and that light is NIN.

Hopefully I can make it to one of these shows, but if not, I would like to just suggest another NC show!

Preferably in Charlotte. smiling smiley

07/08/09 10:46 PM
