ahhhh scalpers existed before tickets went online for sales. They used to hire people to stand in all the lines and get tons of tickets.

Considering he's made a whole 3 posts on the forum, he just might be a scalper himself. winking smiley

I'm just curious as to how much they're going to charge for these tickets. An arm or a leg or both.tongue sticking out smiley

Someone has to beat common sense into these people, however ignored he is, at least someone is out there speaking the fucking truth instead of bitching and moaning.

^^^ thanks winking smiley

has anyone been to the Echoplex lately - its apparently COMPLETELY different from when I last went there a few years back. It WAS a tiny little room downstairs from teh Echo but now its a lot bigger I guess? Any opinions on it??

Thanks for the un-fucking-believeable gig at the Roskilde festival in Denmark! I'm so glad I finally had the opportunity to experience YOU live. Better late, than never.... Unfortunately, won't be able to attend any of the gigs in the US.......

07/09/09 2:13 PM

wow sometimes it really pays off to live in Chicago. i predict these tickets will be no more than $60 before they sell out. after that they will be over $200. how does the pre sale work here? and are they playing multiple shows at the Aragon?

As pleased as I am to hear that nin is planning a few more dates before they say goodbye, it is also very upsetting. I live in atlanta so there is the obvious problem that none of the shows are anywhere near me.. but it is something more then that.
I know that myself, and many many more nin fans from atlanta, or who attended the last show here are saying to themselves.. what about us?
Just go ahead and read the posts from the last show here, most people who bought there tickets from the nin.com presale missed half the show or more. I am not going to go into details but there were will call issues and really really long lines.
then trent sent out emails to the nin.com members saying that he was going to make it up to us and asking for contact numbers.. even going so far as to actually call some members, but no one has gotten any more information. (I think there may be a few members who have been reimbursed)
then today someone at work told me nin were planning a handful of dates in the US but couldn't remember the cites.. I thought for sure atlanta would be one of the cities.
nope.

It's awesome that trent is playing anywhere, and if I can I will be at one of those shows, but I feel since he is playing some shows anyway how hard would it be to put one atlanta date on the map for all of us who got screwed over.

..then promised that we would be compensated. ...but then never actually compensated.

It's all about NIN headlining the Epicenter Festival in Pomona, CA on 8/22/09! That's where the tour is going to begin my friends! My birthday is on that same day so it has turned into quite the day! NIN, Tool, and Alice In Chains on the same bill! You got to be kidding me! This is by far one of the best line ups I have ever seen. Can't wait!!!

07/09/09 2:54 PM

awesome__but... what do you mean by saying

"end NIN this way"

__stabbing my heart.
you definetly deserve a break. a long big break too if you want.
but don't call it an end. for some of us this would be like the end of music.
i feel like.. if you stop -- i stop buying music.
-- just like Duchamp stopped making art i'd stop consuming music.

leave a drop of hope for us. we can wait. even years. but we need hope for your return.

HOLY SHIT!!

Did you all see the tour section of the forum??? Trent has posted that he is taking requests for more cities to play "final headlining shows" calling the tour leg
"FOR THE FANS - YOU GET WHAT YOU DESERVE".

He said he will try to hit every city that people name and play long shows.....Other countries too!!
I guess I was wrong to address all the whiners.
HERE:
Trent post

He said he was wrong to ever make his own decisions and should have been listening to every fan all along whenever he wanted to act or speak.

Awesome.

COME TO TORONTO

07/09/09 3:34 PM

Like I was saying over a month ago..it didnt make any sense for the last show to be in..... asia??? LOL! I wouldnt be suprised if more shows were added for sept-dec 2009. I do hope that they add some visuals to the last shows for 2009, the current shows are great but NOTHING compares to the LED screen concerts of 2008..THAT was the pinnacle of NIN imho....the setlists for those shows combined with the amazing technology and visuals was simply incredible. They couldnt top that unless they came to my house and played in the front yard.

07/09/09 3:35 PM

Dallas Maybe???

07/09/09 3:43 PM

hum, I 2nd/3rd/xth a request for a show in Montreal! We've always proven to be a great place to tour and there are several smaller venues which you could hit as the nightlife here is awesome!

Anyway, thanks for everything!

You've got it wrong. They don't need to do a show in EVERY city, only in MY city. Or YOUR city. Or johniloveyou's city. I don't see why this wouldn't be possible! Trent is magic. He can do anything! He also has no life anywhere else and has all the time in the world to travel and tour, even though he's played a hundred shows here in the past year! And the band has nothing else to do either. Why go home when they can just keep traveling on and on and on.

U R DUM, PO-TA-TO-HA-TAN. GO AWAY AND LEAVE THIS FORUM FOR US TRUE FANS. MY PLAN FOR CONTINUOUS TRAVELING BY NIN FOREVER WILL WORK.

Wait just a sec. You're not IN Pennsylvania, are you? And you did not just suggest that you'd have to fly to New York, did you? From PENNSYLVANIA??? The farthest point in PA is only 6.5 hours away from NYC! The FARTHEST point. Do you live there? Statistics of probability say you don't. Do you not drive? Are you unaware of the bus system?

Are you somewhere else not in PA? Is it closer to Chicago, maybe?

I really need someone to explain this "You have to come to MY city!!!" desperation that is going on here. I live in goddamn BOSTON, a major city of the world, and they haven't played IN Boston in 4 years. The closest was 1.5 hours away, "only" three times over the past year. Next closest are the NY/NJ shows, 5-7 hours away. So we DRIVE there or find a ride or take the bus. It is not hard.

07/09/09 4:41 PM

I'll be at the chicago show for sure.

On a side note, I noticed alec empire on some of the overseas dates.. bring him to chicago! These two at the aragon would be RAW on so many levels.

If you're requesting NIN to come to your city or you want to whine about NIN not playing in your city/country, there is and always has been a thread for that: just click here and all of your dreams will come true.

Though, throwing out requests for NIN to go to your city, if they haven't planned to do so already, is about as useless as shouting for them to play "The Perfect Drug" during a show.

Also, the elementary school attitude toward where NIN decides to tour is just pathetic. The tour does not revolve around you and your life, if you can't make it to a show, that's a result of decisions you have made in your life, not decisions that NIN has made; it's not their fault.

07/09/09 5:16 PM

Powhatan, I think you've managed to become more annoying than the people complaining about NIN not going to their city.

teampotter had a very sound argument, but you just berated him as some idiot. You're turned into a mindless asshat. You're only adding to the douchyness of this thread. Please shut up.

07/09/09 5:18 PM

Why do 3 shows in NYC only when you could do one in NYC, one in Boston and one in Manchester (NH)?? You know, give your other fans with less money a chance to "Wave Good-Bye"?? I've been a fan for 20 years and I'd like to see you one last time (though I'm still hoping that this is not the absolute end of NIN) So how about it, make it a mini tour that's NOT so concentrated! I mean hell, if you're going to do multiple venues anyway, do multiple cities as well so more of your fans who can't afford to travel can go to the shows!!

07/09/09 5:21 PM

I am grateful to have another chance to see you play again! I'll see you in Chicago, and I will be front row...againsmiling smileytongue sticking out smiley

No kidding, exactly: an excellent lineup, but I just checked their website and no mention of NIN to be found - doesn't mean it cannot happen, just not happening now.

WHO? I looked up teampotter and I see no posts under his/her profile.
Am I missing something or are you drunk?

Can you point me to said sound argument?
Please link me to what you speak so highly of.....
