Wow there are a lot of stupid stubborn people here. It's getting really old after 33 pages.

From Trent's first post:
"we're going to play a handful of shows in NYC, Chicago and LA starting August 22nd. "

From Trent's twitter:
"Aside from the festival in Toronto there are no more shows (for real this time!)"

From Justin's twitter:
"Yes, the final FINAL NIN shows have been announced. No more playing dumb on my part. Suffice to say: this IS it. Get it while you can!"

There are no other shows. Stop asking for Mexico, Chile, Brazil, the UK, Ireland, Australia, Boston, Manchester NH (WTF?!), Connecticut, Rhode Island, Atlanta, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Seattle, Portland, Houston, Dallas, Montreal, Vancouver, Detroit, and on and on and on waah waah waah.

THEY ARE NOT GOING THERE. Not now, not ever. It's over. These are the last shows of this NIN as it exists now. If you can't make it, you'll have to wait until he decides to tour again in whatever fashion that is. If you have other responsibilities & can't go, get over it. Either figure out a way or do without. They don't owe you a trip there just because you have to take care of your kids or go in to work or don't have the money. You've had 20 years to assume that someday it would end, why didn't YOU make a plan for that? Did you think everything would last forever? Do you think he should just do shows until he drops dead just so everyone who might possibly want to see them can do so in the easiest possible manner? When do YOU think it will be enough? After he hits YOUR city? Doesn't that make you a selfish bastard?

Every last one of you should be ashamed of yourselves. Grow up! Trent has, why can't you??
Couldn't have said it any better!

For myself, i consider this a stroke of luck. I am currently serving somewhere in iraq and when the dates of NINJA tour came out I realized that I wouldn't be able to enjoy TR on last time. I've been a fan since 1989. I would say being a fan is rather an inadequate word to use. Rarely does such a musician come around more than once in a lifetime. I've had an opportunity to see The LITS and Fragility tour. Back to beginning. I thought I would never get the opportunity to see NIN again, until yesterday when I just happened to check if any further dates have been added and lo and behold, four concerts practically in my backyard at a time when i will just be returning from my deployment. I am so fucking amped. I am going to go to multiple shows. I would like to personally than TR for adding these last few shows. Unbelievable. The timing is uncanny!

So, is there a set number to how many presale tickets will be sold? Or will there still be tickets left for the sale on the thirty-first?
i think it depends on the show

Same here! Was gutted when I saw the presale times, but that's how it goes I suppose. I am really hoping my hubby can pull off a ticket for one of the NY shows.
i will be in flight to see them in greece for the sale time... it would be nice to see them one last time with a full set list, im hoping i can bribe my little sister!!

To all the people that keep telling people to shut up about wanting a show in their town:

Let people say whatever the fuck they want. Let them wish they would get to have the opportunity to see him for a first and/or last time. You have every right to be mean but it doesn't make it right. They are fans just like you and me. Why don't you cry about that?

07/11/09 12:30 PM

Come on Trent, there's gotta be love for the Masquerade in ATL. We've had hate tour, Nights of Nothing, Wave goodbye would be a perfect ending. Oh well **reserves flight for New York and Chicago**

Agreed. The way I look at it is this:

1. People aren't hurting anyone by complaining that NIN isn't playing in ______ city;

2. No one of importance is going to read/care about these complaints anyway;

3. So long as all complains remain in this thread, 'tis cool.

In other words, continue your bitching, complaining and general moaning, and save your pennies for flights / tickets to NYC, Chicago, or LA.

Wow, Christmas came early for me with those LA gigs. I thought I had the worst of luck not being able to attend the NINJA tour but look at me now!!!!

Holy. Fuck. That is some fine footage. Any details? Gear used? I've shot my fair share of rock and roll film over the years and I have to say that was some great stuff. Reminds me of what I have missed this past year and what I just might get to see in about five weeks. =]

I have to come to some peoples defense here. In case some of you haven't noticed, Montreal (along with other cities) weren't included in the last round of shows before their current european tour. People from these cities are only trying to show their support and perhaps Trent (whom i doubt would read this giant chain of replies) would try to fit it in. It has nothing to do with how mature or grown up you are. Give people a break. Especially if NIN came to your city after the LITS tour. I really don't think you should be commenting on others wanting to be included in the last set of shows.

I've been talking to some other members, and we're guessing tickets to be at about $150 to maybe even $200. We based this on the venues being small and the set-lists being really long.

Just my contribution.

My last show (KC w/M&G) was so great, I don't know if I'm going to another. But the idea is nice. smiling smiley

when is a show in a small venue 150 to 200 dollars????
Ive seen a band play for over 2 hours in a small venue and it was 25 bucks - well known band too.

I have no idea why you think theyd be this much but I SERIOUSLY doubt it.
In fact, Id be willing to bet money on it.

.......how about...... 200 dollars? 150? (my bet, not the tickets)

I have no idea how the guy I was talking to came to this. I just kinda thought it made sense. I've only ever seen semi-famous bands at small venues. So I have no idea of the prices.

I hope the tix are as cheap as you say they are! smiling smiley

Tix were around $100.00 last year at the House of Blues in AC (holds about 2000 ppl). So I'm thinking they might be around that price, but who knows. I hope they are only $40-$50.

07/11/09 4:38 PM

I can't see spending more than $100 (including add-on fees) regardless of the venue. The homie doesn't seem the type to go Rolling Stones, Madonna, etc. with prices. If he does, we have no choice..."paga buey"

07/11/09 5:14 PM

Surely Trent wouldn't charge more than $100 for any of these shows. Sure, supply and demand would say the prices would be higher, but I don't think he'd screw over the fans who aren't rich. He just wants real fans coming to the shows. Alas, we shall see next Friday!
