I am looking for tickets to any of the LA shows to take my mom to. We are NIN kids that didn't make the pre-sale cut and have a blast together at concerts. Any fellow NIN heads willing to share some love would be amazing.

07/18/09 3:08 PM

Hey, it is what it is. Anyone who is bitching is just mad they didn't get tickets. On that note, if anyone on this forum has an extra ticket and wants to have a rockin time in New York -- send me a pm.

Death is the mother of all beauty. That is what makes every concert special. Be happy for the times you did get to see them -- for there were certainly many times to do so over the past few years. Congrats to everyone who got tickets -- I'm sure you will have a night to remember.

07/18/09 3:11 PM

Yesterday when I tried to log on to buy tickets, the system said my username or password was incorrect. I knew they were both correct, so I tried several more times, but it still wouldn't work. I reset my password and tried again. Eventually I got on, but not in time. I don't want to go through the experience again. Does anyone know why it wouldn't let me log in? Just too many people using the site?

07/18/09 3:27 PM

From Trent's Twitter

i'd have much preferred to sell all the tickets ourselves, but apparently there was some reason we couldn't.

Sorry about the scalping I'm seeing - it's not coming from the band

Did he mean all the tickets as in everything through nin.com(ie all terminal 5 shows), or does it mean that they couldn't even have every ticket to every show - like bowery - due to venues giving some to ticket brokers?

I know that some in the band couldn't even get tickets for their friends.

Does this mean some scalpers - as lecherous as they are - can actually get around the will call?

07/18/09 3:32 PM

It would not take my name and password either (Music Today portal).
I created a new account on the spot and got tickets for Webster Hall.

I don't get you people. Seriously..bitching about scalpers and TR. How about bitch about and to the assholes on this forum offering lots of $$ for tix cause they didn't get any. I have seen so many of these fucking posts. THEY ARE THE REASON SCALPERS DO WHAT THEY DO. How about kicking their ass. If not this problem will never go away because you were too pussy to do something about it. A few posts back a dude offered to pay anything, do anything. Are you guys fucking blind to this? Everyone is all talk but no action.

So what exactly is your solution?? Do you even realize how many scalpers are out there??? Let me know how your ass kicking plan goes. But as long as there is $$ to be made, someone will be selling tickets. If you are not willing to pay, that is fine. But I do have a right to pay a premium if I am willing to pay it because I want to be at the show.

Then people need to stop pissing and moaning about scalpers. If nobody was bitching then it wouldn't be a problem. The fact that people are going apeshit and bitching about everything but choose to say NOTHING to the people willing to pay more $$ is fucking stupid. That is what I'm saying. Understand? If people are so angry then why not kick the asses of the users on here willing to pay more money, such as yourself.

I understand what you said but my question was what are you planning to accomplish by kicking someone's ass who is selling the ticket or is willing to pay for it???

As long as there is demand for a show, people are going to be willing to sell tickets and some people are going to buy them. Demand and Supply - just simple economics. But I don't see what getting pissed off at people who are willing to pay money accomplishes??

I am not going to beg and blow someone to take me for face value or something like that and I sure as hell don't want to miss the shows. If you got better solutions than paying above cost, I am all ears.

07/18/09 3:48 PM

I said what I said cause there are so many people bitching about scalpers. Well people here are directly involved by offering to pony up more $$. I said it so people would STFU or get pissed at these people.
I'm not even going to a show and I don't give a shit but for the people in here getting so mad I just pointed out the obvious. It is up to you guys if you want to do anything about it. So people will stop just blaming those scalpers and start getting mad at the members here who are a part of it. To me it is obvious...but I guess for most it isn't. Sometimes I forget how ignorant and mundane people are on this board...........

That is the one thing I can't fucking stand is when people piss and moan about something but don't bother looking around in their own backyard (nin.com) for the problem.
And half the people pissing and moaning are also willing to pay more cash. Like WTF. You tell me how that is reasonable man

Same thing happened to me...something came up at work and I couldn't attempt a log-on until 4:45, then said username or password were incorrect. Fate...will still try to get tkts to the Term 5 shows during the general sale...at least there's v-fest. The pre-sale system is what it is...

I was mad yesterday, I was told I could get tickets online on the 31st, and I got over it. I'm not gonna bitch at Trent or anyone who got tickets; this mess isn't Trent's fault. And to all of the people who made the presale, congrats and I hope you have a good time. God, I can't believe the mods haven't closed this thread down yet lol...And a congrats to Bearded Clam for saying what you did. Did you notice how the posts just kinda waned a bit?

woah I come back here a day later and my post with Trents picture from the Revolting Cocks is gone. So I get reported because Im trying to tell a violent douchebag on here threatening people to shut up?
wierd.

Anyway, someone asked about Henry Fonda venue.

This venue is in the more eastern side of Hollywood right on Hollywood Blvd cross street Gower (I work at Sunset and Gower). I know this venue well. They have a balcony and a cool outdoor part on the roof that you used to be able to go up to, but fire code now only allows them to sell tickets to specifically the balcony (and roof) or just the floor. Its a big floor with a step that goes along the back. Good for standing on if youre somewhat short or just want to get in the back where its more calm. The bar is up on the step in the center and faces the stage. Sound in this place is not the best. Often "boomy" or very reverberant. I record shows with a minidisk some decent mics and this place alwasy turns out crappy reverberant recordings compared to some other indoor venues of this size. But its ok I guess. Better than the Palladium in my opinion.
It is certainly a place where a lot of semi popular bands play now.
security is tight. They wand everyone and search pretty well in purses and such. Some of this depends on the artist but in general, they are pretty tight. The Echoplex is the only place security is more lax of the LA dates, but then since its been remodeled, I dont know if that changed.

Amazing all the people with anger issues here. Kind of scary that something like this upsets people so much. Ive lost out on MANY presales due to demand. Doesnt make me want to hurt people.

And for the record regarding the "waiting cue"......I dont claim to know how it works, but I had 2 laptops and a roommate trying for tix and I had 2 windows that entered that cue window about 2:15PM Pacific Time. My girlfriend in Philly was already into the show list page after the cue, so she didnt have to wait in it - she was getting tix to LA too. But I do NOT believe you really had to be in that cue page before a few minutes to 5. Because as I said, I had 2 windows in that cue page for hours. Then at about 4:40, I opened more windows on each laptop. Around 4:50, All the windows started refreshing to errors - meaning couldnt access the page anymore. I had to manually refresh ALL of them to get back to the cue - remember the cue page said DONT MANUALLY refresh or you will lose your place in line. All my pages went back in teh cue. Then about 2 minutes to 5, a couple pages reached the tour show list page but they just said "ticket info" next to the shows - as opposed to at 5PM where they say "buy tickets". The windows I had open since 2:15PM were actually the LAST windows to reach the next page with the show dates.
So I really dont think it mattered if you were on that cue page from 2PM, 4pm, or 4:45PM. All my windows went to the show date page at or seconds after 5PM. Didnt matter what window was opened longer.
Having to suddenly log in I was not prepared for - but I still got tickets.

The simple fact is, presales are ALWAYS like this with high demand. And there is more demand than tickets. Some people are NOT going to get in. Its frustrating, but the sense of entitlement on here is always so amazing. The level of anger on here from people that dont get in is scary.
These are just concert tickets. What happens when BIGGER things dont go your way - do you start shooting people? We certainly see in our lives that some people do.
frightening.

and PS, Everyone should stop their bitching but the people that GOT Echoplex tickets through the presale, should NEVER be on here bitching about ANYTHING again. winking smiley

The people that get really angry and bitch about all this really must have FANTASTIC spoiled lives for this to be the worst thing thats happened to them.

There are women being raped daily and kids being enslaved as miners to get an element called Tantalum in Congo that goes in every phone, camera, (name electronic device here), that we all use. Just because they were born into a shitty place on earth. The ODDS are, most people are born in such shitty areas as they have the most populations. They live in brutal poverty.

you people all beat those odds and were born into a fairly wealthy surroundings, and probably get more food than you would EVER need to survive, and you are not made by the age of 10 to work for nothing doing hard labor or be whipped, beaten, or killed.

Those people have something to complain about, you little kids talking about throwing your computer and hating the world cause you didnt get a couple concert tickets - likely to a band you just saw, really should calm down.

If you have TWO TICKETS to ANY of the LA shows, please let me know.

I am a long time NIN fan, living in socal (OC) and I can make these shows but have no tickets (no presale luck for me).

Now I'm hearing that no more tickets for Wiltern will be sold (nin.com did say 'pre-sale' was 7/17/09 and 'sale' was 7/31/09).

My buddy got presale Wiltern and is flying in from FLA to go with his bro.

I gotta go.

If you have two (or more) tickets to ANY of the LA shows, contact me immediately.

Palladium. Fonda. Wiltern. Echoplex.

Help. Thanks. John.

07/19/09 12:09 PM

We got Wiltern tickets, wanted Echoplex too but those sold out in lighting speed (CAPTCHA was hard to make out). Happy nonetheless that we at least scored for one show. The waiting area never refreshed to the appropriate page as soon as 5pm hit, went through the calendar page instead.

I think your right. I was trying for NY, but of course that didn't happen. When I was finally able to get back onto nin forums (or maybe it was ets) some people that got tickets told about being logged in since earlier that day, so I just went to my history where I had been logged in to the portal and was able to get in line for the chicago show. I was in line from about 20 minutes before 5 and it of course sold out and I got nada.

I kept the "waiting area" open and then got booted off 20 minutes before the LA sales started. I refreshed and got booted off a couple more times. Finally about 5 minutes before I just opened 3 windows in the "waiting area" and was able to get tix to Wiltern. Definitely a messed up system, I am just glad that I kind of figured out how it was working and was lucky.

Lighten up, already. It's NIN.Com, not Every-horrible-unthinkable-terrible-atrocity-that-has-ever-occurred-on-the-face-of-the-earth.com, If it were, you bet your #ss I'd be pissed about the raping in the Congo and worldwide, but that might not be entirely appropriate in this forum, sweetheart (last time I checked, the subject matter was Nine Inch Nails - And you don't know how much time any one of us "kvetchers" have volunteered so don't even try to go there, honey - you don't know us, you don't our pain, man) so why don't you "happy" people just let us express our f*cking selves, since last time I checked it wasn't illegal to be p*ssed off. You'd think this was the freaking Yanni forum and negativity was entirely foreign. Last time I checked, NIN was not happy-time music. Ay yay yay, already, people. And I think if I were the Reznor, I might be a little flattered at the notion that missing one of my performances sends masses into depressive illness, no? If we didn't care, would we even bother being on this site. So do not tell any of us not to be upset at whatever extent. Bitch, please. And I'm over 30, so f8ck you with your "little kids" bullsh*t.

Over 30 with grammar skills like that? Wow..........eye rolling smiley Congrats your older ..too bad you sound like you're still in high school.

07/19/09 11:05 PM

I had the same problem as a lot of you. I was not able to log in to buy the tickets, but I was able to make a new name to buy the tickets. I am surprised others did not do the same thing when the option was there. I got two tickets to Webster Hall. See everyone there!

And another thing Beard - Yes, so great was my passion that I did not have time to punctuate properly, but my grammar was fine - A lil cussing, of course but nonetheless - Might have to find something else to mock. YOu should ahve no problem because you clearly have a very advanced sense of humor based on your hilarious avatar. Very witty - Bearded Clam - I get it - It's supposed to be a vagina. That is so funny and so original. You should do stand up.

I'm not done with you yet, Mr. Clam. Re My Grammar - I give you this example:
"And I think if I were the Reznor, I might be a little flattered at the notion that missing one of my performances sends masses into depressive illness, no?"
This is very sophisticated sentence structure, Junior. AND I began the sentence purposely with a conjuction to create a sense of flow of thought - Poetic license, my friend. Your accusation of poor grammar is just something up with which I will not put.

Now please go post more hilarious things that make us all laugh like that funny line back there: "Obama is killing flies." I nearly fell off my rocking chair laughing at that one. Please use your gift for good. (I'm done now with this thread - - Bye bye now - Wish me luck in the general sale so I don't have to come back here and rant.)

Okay:

1. Take your bickering to the Shitlist.
2. If you're looking for tickets, please go into the thread of the show you'd like to attend in the Upcoming Shows forum.
3. If you want to bitch about not getting pre-sale tickets, take it to the Presale Issues thread in the General Tour Discussion forum.
