Is that what the twitter account was re-activated for? To keep the chatter off of the website?
I've never understood what or where or how we are SUPPOSED to do this. For starters, TR didn't tell us about The Event: HER (now-former) bandmate announced it on HER (now-former) band's website. I can't help but wonder how and when TR would have chosen to tell us about this, if ever.
Then the thread containing ten pages almost-universally positive well-wishes was summarily deleted from this forum, sending the message that no, not even in the intensely positive sense is this
mentionable on this website. Then TR on twitter asks us not to @reply her about NIN, even while she's tweeting pics of him and her (now former) band-mates are talking about the possibility he might produce their next record and welcoming the new NiN fans to their website. Who is allowed to talk about what where seems scarcely consistent.
Every time someone famous, whoever they are, musician, athlete, politician, anyone, becomes attached, the new paramour ALWAYS gets shit from jealous fans. Always, everywhere, no exceptions. I think by banning the discussion here, it encouraged those abuzz with gossip to make the move to Twitter, where the trolls are almost impossible to contain and presto, TR's Twitter was a casualty of the never-ending battle against Internet Assholes faster then you can call andreaurbanfox a pig.
Now it's resurrected. Ready for round 2? Sure that THIS TIME the unmarked can is not full of worms?
I'm tired of guessing about the rules of engagement. Until we get some further sign of what is or isn't gonna get us in trouble, I will be pretending this unholy resurrection never happened.
