Well said...I mean your rant...I just didn't want to quote all that.

I'd be unbelievably pissed off too, but couldn't hold it against the man. Even if he didn't want to bend over backwards for all the possible shit to go through for those shows, I would understand. But hey, I'm in California, already seen one show and ready to see a second in a few months...that said, I'm sure he'll keep y'all in S.A. in mind for the next tour, which should be even more amazing and mind blowing than this one.

And to aad to the grapevine [more like a whinevine]: I heard the US embassy got kicked out of one of those countries...

maybe i'm wrong, but i heard that the 'technical issues', in fact, can be summarize in just one thing: the ticket sale wasn't good enough or it wasn't what they expected to be...

anyway, it's so sad for those affected, but, personally, i'm counting down the days to see NIN here in chile.

13 days left.

Ok, guess you´re right. I´m oficcialy done with the complaning,it´s getting tiresome.
From now on I´ll be looking forward to October 2 and 4. smiling bouncing smiley

This thread should be locked until further news is released. At the moment it's just the same thing being posted over and over again it's completely irrelevant.

80% of the stuff that is written in this whole forum is irrelevant. But it's not about being relevant or irrelevant. It's about NIN and the feelings of their fans. So if people are pissed off or disappointed or whatever, it's their right to write it, even if the same thing is being posted over and over again. If they lock this thread, they would just show that they don't give a fuck about the NIN fans, especially the ones who wanted to go to the cancelled shows and the ones who posted something in this thread.

I feel very sorry for all!, and I know you already expend a lot of money, but there are still possibilities in Chile and Argentina...

Thanks for posting what I was thinking. I had a particularly bitchy reply sitting here waiting to send but didn't want to be just another hateful person on a message board. Thanks for posting what I wanted to say in a much more tactful, well-developed way. smiling smiley

I'm still tempted, but I feel that enough flames have been fanned here already.

ALRIGHT PEOPLE, I know we as Brazilian and Colombian citizens have the right to bitch. But we all saw what really happened, what was the true reason for the cancellations, and you still wanna speculate about it. So do it! Still not sure why the Colombia gig got cancelled (low ticket sales, for what I heard!), but the Brazil ones have an explanation, even though it's a lame ass one!

I still don't wanna believe I'll not be seeing NIN here in my country next month. I'd love to go to Chile, but it's very expensive and I only took one day off work for the concert. It's not that easy. And yes, I'm still waiting on a word from TR about this, at least to know that he is also angry about it and will make up to us in a near future (a very near future, hopefully). That's the least we deserve.

(Just got my money back today... sad smiley)

I think we all need to put this in perspective. While it so sucks concerts were cancelled we should be thankful Trent and company are still alive. I mean I am not a Blink 182 fan but what happened to Travis Barker and DJ AM and that horrific plane accident just puts everything in perspective. It sucks that you guy won't see them live but I think after reading this story this past weekend I am just happy NIN are alive still doing music. Trent please stay away from small planes.

Yeap...., from VENEZUELA!!!! Where they ARE going to perform...

But anyway...said it before and I say it again, though it's truly a bummer having bought my ticket for the show in Bogota, ColOmbia in late July and having the show cancelled a few weeks before, I understand there's a lot of possible explanations.

For now, I hope things work out and I get to check out the show NIN puts on. From pictures it seems this tour is mindblowing, but if there's something I've been taught by NIN is that it can always get better.

Sorry for all those who had plane tickets, hotels, etc.

Cheers to the rest and I hope that if you have a chance, enjoy the show for all of us who won't be able to do so!

My heart was like ripped out of my chest when I heard about that. I was a HUGE Blink 182 fan. And I saw your avatar. I like GBS too. They rock and their forum is full of the nicest music fans on the planet. Their songs always cheer me up when I'm having a horrible day. smiling smiley
I love Philly. I think that's where you're from. It's an awesome city. I listen to a lot of bands from there.
I listen to too many bands, as my boss says. Well I have no kids.
Everything I do is out of boredom....including the book I wrote & the 3 albums I made.

I agree with you...people should stop talking shit about Trent.
But the people who organized the tour must have known that there will be all the problems you have mentioned BEFORE they announced the tour dates...

God I'm a bitch the finger smiley
You have a point about the way we SA shouldnt pick it on TR. But, i think that is clear from past week and all posts in the general tour discussion. So, i dont see a point about people coming in here to defend Trent, as if 1) he needs help, and 2) most of us were blaming him.

And please PEOPLE, stop bringing the stupid issue about the VISA. Any american can get here, anytime!! this is a whore country where anybody can get... it is not like were in a small town where businesses are made differently. All major banks that rule the u.s. are also in here, and there is an obedient class working and making the same mba´s americans do. There are 8 million people in this city! Unfortunately, not enough to buy a ticket for this wonderful show.

We already know it was because of low tickets sales! so, stop making new theories or giving us new hope for now. We realize the facts and WE are not blaming TR or his crew.

Ps. pickleblossom, get some real lessons! you´re story seems taken from a tom clancy book.

09/21/08 2:21 PM

That's right.

Today I exchanged my ticket to the R.E.M. one. Hope we have no technical issues with them! tongue sticking out smiley

Por que si van a ir a Caracas y adelatan la fecha y cancelan el concierto de Bogota, segun la gira Colombia estaba primero. No es justo con los fans que desde hace mucho tiempo estamos esperando este concierto.

09/21/08 6:57 PM

I REALLY DON'T KNOW WHAT TEC PROBLEMS EXACTLY MEANS. IN THE LAST YEARS GREAT BANDS CAME TO BOGOTA(BJORK, MUSE, PLACEBO, WHITE STRIPES, IRON MAIDEN, METALLICA, GUNS AND ROSES, ROGER WATERS, MARILIN MANSON...) WITH NO PROBLEMS EM'ALL. IM REALLY DISAPOINTED WITH THIS PREMATURE CANCELLATION AND I HOPELESS TO SEE ONE OF MY FAVORITES BANDS IN MY CITY.

PLEASE MAKE AN EFFORT TO RESCHEDULE THE DATES AGAIN AND DON´T MISS THE OPORTUNITY TO FINALLY COME TO COLOMBIA.

And for those who say we are "blaming" TR...
We're not. We know they didn't cancel the shows from out of the blue just to screw with us... We just want to know what happened.

Sorry S.A. fans, =(

Trent WILL make it up to you. I'm 100% sure.

to me, seeing nine inch nails live is one of the events that make life worth living. The first experience I had was simply amazing. I never felt so fulfilled before. Now I can't find the words to express the impact this cancellation had on me... I had my ticket for almost three months, and having to return it was worse than the worst of all break ups. I am sorry for people who share these feelings...I just hope it goes away eventually... I still can't believe this is happening...

Simple as this::: From a business perspective (which Trent is before he is a musician.) He is now OUT OF POCKET for this entire tour. We cannot even imagine the amount of cash he, the band and many others have probably dumped into this tour. Trent is one of the most talented and influential people on the planet today. He must be a perfectionist in all that he does to succeed in the world today. If he has to miss a couple of shows because its not good for the band, or his management feels its not a good business investment. Then you cannot blame him. I am not sure about the "visa" policies but i am sure Brazil is not as hard to get into as some other countries. Please cut the MAN some slack...He is just 1 man. Keep it up Trent..

(BTW) if It means your life to you to see a show Catch him in the Nearest Country or closet parallel dimension ;-)
