Box Office person at the Fonda, this is what was said over a phone call and asking. How is that bulls**t.

And I mean, the marquee is lying?

Ahh, that. This gives me a good degree of hope, and I do trust that the venue wouldn't post something like that so brashly, but I'll only be wholly relieved when the rescheduling confirmation is posted on nin.com or on twitter. smiling smiley

Makes it seem likely, though...! /cross fingers x 23409898

Apparently people at the Fonda Theater have been in talks with the NIN camp about rescheduling. If it is rescheduled it will be announced on NIN.com's main page and via @nineinchnails on Twitter.

Obvious that the fonda wants to reschedule NIN for another date but its still up to Trent to decide.

The people at the box office is clueless most of the time.
Yeah i went there to ask in person about the camera policy and they didn't even know if the camera policy was relaxed or anything.

Your source isnt really reliable. winking smiley

Still! just wait for the official work from NIN
Dont just speculate because if you think its for sure that the show will happen then it might not and be disappointed again.

Go ahead. I really don't care, but im just saying here...

At least somebody took initiative here, dont see you making any viable efforts. Oh and they wouldnt have the camera policy until the day of the show. Security meets and discusses everything, their rules and whatnot, what is allowed what isnt. So you wouldnt know until right now regarding that. Remember that for next time. Why would you care, you dont seem to be fazed if its cancelled or rescheduled. Unlike the people who traveled a long way for it. Think for a minute that box office employees are not security and wouldnt have rules a week inadvance like you assume they should cause it has to be perfect for you in every aspect.

09/03/09 9:15 PM

another perfectly fair option for the fans (or as fair as it can be now) if they do decide to reschedule at henry fonda is offer the ticketholders the option of a refund.

then anyone who gets a full refund, the remainder of those tickets go back on sale. problem solved unless i'm missing something

09/03/09 9:15 PM

Sorry to hear about the cancellation, but this NINfluenza sucks. I've been recovering from it all week and it's not good. The coughing is horrible.

09/03/09 9:18 PM

Get well soon Trent! I have tickets to the Wiltern and the Echoplex, and hope you don't have to cancel those shows too. But if you do, I (and hopefully everyone else) will understand. I would easily pay for another flight down here from Seattle to attend any make up shows (if that were the case). I also went to the Palladium show and it was the most amazing NIN show I have seen to date. I would feel totally satisfied if that was to be the last time I got to see NIN play live. You sharing the stage with Gary Numan was EPIC in my book. Thank you for the awesome memories.

The important part is that you feel better and don't put your health at risk.

09/03/09 9:30 PM

I am SO bummed to hear that the show was cancelled, more so to hear that Trent is ill sad smiley

Hope u feel better soon Trent, we love u!!!

And, fyi, i would rather hold on to my tix for a rescheduling (if possible) over a refund!! I tried so hard to get those tix!!!

Hope to c u soon!!!

xoxo

Feel Better!!!!

09/03/09 9:47 PM

I agree I hope this gets re-scheduled then cancelled. I was really looking forward to this show. I was at the palladium and was not feeling well. I sat for most of the show. I did see all the downward spiral set, but after I had to sit down for the rest of the show. Please, please I hope they re-schedule!!!!! I dont want a refund, unless that refund is a rescheduled concertsmiling smiley

Take care TRENT!!!!
You've put on one hell of a show last night. And you have been such an influence to us all.

OK have it your way then.. jesus fuck! this doesnt really matter, they have to announce something by tomorrow so anything you do is not going to change the outcome.
lets see what you are telling me---
They are for sure going to reschedule because someone that works in a box office told you and that tomorrow they announce the rescheduling.
Despite the fact that there isn't a single post on here confirming that...

Im really hoping they reschedule and hopefully even make the henry fonda the last show but all we can ALL do is wait for the official word. Makes more sense.

We're very sorry to announce that Trent is ill, and on his doctor's orders we will not be able to perform tonight's show at the Henry Fonda Theater. This is the only information we have at this time, we're posting this early announcement as a convenience for those of you who had plans to attend. Reimbursement details will be posted as soon as we figure them out; likely within the next 24 hours. We wish this wasn't necessary and we're very sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you for your understanding.

I'd just like to thank Trent for the absolutely amazing performance he gave at the Palladium despite his illness. I don't know how anybody can scream the lyrics to head like a hole with such awesome tenacity even when they're already losing their voice. Props to you man. Thank you for bringing the house down and throwing everything you have to the table for your final few gigs.

Feel better soon.

I flew in from Seattle to see the show at the Henry Fonda. Given the venue, this was the one I wanted to see the most...

Of course I am disappointed that Trent and Co. were not able to perform tonight and send us out with smiles on our faces, but as everyone said, health comes first. He has given so much to us, more than any other artist has/will... so we can not complain!

Here is to hopefully rescheduling the show for at least a ways out so that us out of state (and country) visitors can make plans to make it back for the show. I know I will definitely make it back down (as long as it is not in the next week or so!)

Thanks for everything Trent, get well soon.

Trent-

I hope you feel better soon!

I was at the Terminal 5 concert August 26th, and I'm STILL sick. I caught the "NINfluenza," and it's been one of the Worst illnesses I've Ever had. It's been over a week, yet I'm still coughing, congested, worn out and tired, and this is the best I've felt since this started (I won't bore you with the other symptoms). I sincerely hope this isn't what you have.

Please take Good Care of Yourself-You are Very Loved and we are all praying for your recovery.
